On the afternoon of December 3, comrade Lu Quang Ngoi, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Election Committee chaired a meeting to assess the situation and results of preparations for the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and Provincial People's Council deputies for the 2026-2031 term.

Implementing the direction of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, the Department of Home Affairs has deployed documents related to the organization of the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term. Up to now, the provincial departments, branches, sectors and People's Committees of communes and wards have promptly deployed preparations and implementation.

Regarding the preparation for the election, 64/64 communes and wards have issued decisions to establish Election Committees, ensuring the number, structure and composition according to the law. The Department of Finance has advised the Provincial People's Committee, planning to submit to the Provincial People's Council for approval a Resolution regulating the expenditure level and time to support election work.

The meeting approved the drafts on: Working regulations of the Provincial Election Committee; plan for the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term; announcement of assignment of members of the Provincial Election Committee; decision to establish the Information and Propaganda Subcommittee, the Security, Order and Social Safety Subcommittee, the Logistics and Synthesis Subcommittee, and the Complaints and Denunciations Settlement Subcommittee. In addition, the meeting also approved the draft plan for the expected number of constituencies, the list of constituencies and the number of deputies to the 16th National Assembly to be elected in each constituency in the province.

At the meeting, delegates exchanged and discussed issues related to the establishment of sub-committees and the assignment of members to participate in sub-committees serving the election work; plans for the number of constituencies...

Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Lu Quang Ngoi, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Election Committee, requested agencies and units to assign specific responsibilities, closely following the election plan; The police coordinate with relevant sectors to promote the protection of election information and data to ensure safety. The health sector and specialized agencies need to proactively develop plans and prepare for disease prevention and control, and natural disaster response during the preparation for the election as well as during the election.

The Department of Justice, together with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, closely coordinates with the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; press agencies to promote election propaganda to ensure timeliness, suitability for each content, each subject, each locality, and clarify the rights and responsibilities of voters according to new regulations; at the same time, it is necessary to regularly inspect and coordinate with security agencies to combat distorted and illegal arguments, and falsify regulated information - Comrade Lu Quang Ngoi suggested.

Comrade Lu Quang Ngoi, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, requested the Department of Home Affairs to regularly inspect, urge and support localities to prepare and ensure timely conditions, locations and facilities for the election; at the same time, coordinate with the Department of Finance to allocate and guide localities to use election funds effectively, in accordance with regulations, economically and ensuring all stages. The inspection agency and localities should proactively resolve complaints and denunciations related to the election; resolve complex issues early and remotely, not allowing hot spots to affect the election.
