The Legal Playground model was awarded a certificate of merit by the Dong Nai Provincial Youth Union and recognized as a typical youth project at the provincial level in 2024. Notably, the model won second prize at the Dong Nai Provincial Technical Innovation Competition in 2025.
Creating an effective "long-term" playing field.
According to Truong Hai Thi, Director of the Provincial Children's House: The situation of young people violating the law has become increasingly complex recently, posing a significant challenge for families and society. Meanwhile, many schools still implement legal education in a traditional way, with little interaction with students.

Recognizing that disseminating and educating children about the law at the Children's House and other children in the province is an important, regular, and continuous task, Mr. Thi believed that the methods of dissemination needed to be more practical and effective. In 2024, the Provincial Children's House began implementing the "Legal Playground Program for Children" to disseminate the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and regulations; to educate on ethics, guide lifestyles and culture, and provide knowledge and life skills, as well as how to handle real-life situations related to the law for young members, children, and students in the area...
To ensure the model operates systematically, Mr. Thi developed three key solutions. Firstly, he identified the content of the awareness campaign for each stage; the Children's House developed annual, monthly, and weekly plans and updated the laws and topics necessary for children. The program is for children aged 9-15, and includes three main components: the "Legal Playground" game show; the "Legal Q&A" program; and the online legal knowledge contest called "I Learn About the Law."
Secondly, diversify the methods of implementation. The Children's House implements legal education playground programs, develops exam questions for game shows, creates scripts for the Legal Q&A program, films and edits videos, and designs promotional materials.
The final solution is to strengthen coordinated propaganda efforts through the media channels of the Children's House, the Dong Nai Provincial Youth Union, the Bien Hoa City Youth Union (formerly), the Provincial Lawyers Association, the Provincial Police Youth Committee, etc.
Huynh Minh Tam An (a 9th-grade student at Thong Nhat Secondary School, Dong Nai province) shared: “When participating in the Legal Playground game show, I felt it was an extremely beneficial experience. Legal knowledge, which seemed dry at first, became more accessible and easy to understand. Thanks to it, I learned more about my rights and obligations, as well as how to handle real-life situations correctly according to the law.”
The innovative nature of the new model
Thanks to extensive collaboration, the model has a wider reach and the counseling content is of high professional quality. Many diverse activities attract a large number of students.
Specifically, in 2024, the Children's House filmed 10 episodes of the game show "Legal Playground" with the participation of 40 contestants from 23 junior high schools in the former Bien Hoa city; each program had 4 contestants competing in 3 sections: multiple choice, answering questions, and handling legal situations. They produced 20 "Legal Q&A" programs, broadcasting 2 programs each month on the information channels of the Children's House, Dong Nai Provincial Youth Union, Bien Hoa City Youth Union (formerly), the Provincial Lawyers Association, and the Youth Committee of the Provincial Police. They also organized 10 online quizzes on the Children's House fanpage (Online Quiz Contest: I Learn About the Law), attracting 1,318 participants, of whom 896 answered all 4 questions correctly.
In 2025, the Provincial Children's House, in coordination with the Community Legal Counseling and Teaching Team (University of Economics and Law), organized weekend activities in the form of mock trials and legal education lectures on the topic of traffic safety. In collaboration with the former Bien Hoa City Youth Union, the Lawyers' Association, and the Youth Committee of the Provincial Police, they organized the "Legal Playground" program... These activities attracted a large number of students, providing them with opportunities to directly experience and better understand the litigation process and legal regulations in practice, contributing to raising awareness of law compliance.
Beyond creating a healthy learning environment, the program also expands its reach through social media broadcasting, allowing more students to participate and follow without being limited by space and time. To date, the Legal Playground model has become a highlight in the dissemination and education of law for young people, helping to spread awareness of the rule of law in the community and creating a solid foundation for the younger generation.
"After nearly two years of implementation, the Legal Playground model has yielded clear results. In particular, this model can be widely applied to political and social organizations from the provincial to the grassroots level and replicated throughout the province," Mr. Thi shared.
