Ho Chi Minh City supports Dak Lak students after storm and flood

The program of giving 2,536 educational gifts to students in Dak Lak province, implemented by the Ho Chi Minh City Student Cultural House in coordination with many units, has promptly supported students in flood-affected areas to quickly stabilize and continue going to school.

On December 3, 2025, Ho Chi Minh City Student Cultural House coordinated with Axon Active Vietnam Co., Ltd. and many businesses and individuals to organize a program to give gifts and school supplies to 2,536 students at three schools in Dak Lak province, including: Le Duan Primary - Secondary School, Vo Thi Sau High School and An Ninh Dong Primary School No. 1.

The program was launched with the desire to accompany students in difficult areas, helping them to soon stabilize their studies. Each gift includes a backpack, blank notebooks, pens and school supplies (10 blank notebooks with 96 pages, 5 ballpoint pens, 2 wooden pencils, 1 ruler, 1 compass and 1 eraser) with a total cost of more than 500 million VND.

According to Ms. Bui Huynh Kieu My, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Student Cultural House, on the first day of launching (November 25), the program received great support from businesses, donors, students and volunteers. Hundreds of students from many universities participated in sorting, packaging and transporting goods for many days to promptly deliver them to students in flooded areas.

The delegation directly presented 914 gifts at Vo Thi Sau High School (Diem Dien village, Tuy An Dong commune); 828 gifts at Le Duan Primary - Secondary School (Hoi Tin village, Tuy An Dong commune) and 794 gifts at An Ninh Dong Primary School No. 1 (An Ninh Dong commune).

At the same time, the Ho Chi Minh City Student Cultural House also coordinated with businesses and individuals to deliver goods and necessities to people, including drinking water, milk, rice, instant noodles, canned food, life jackets, clothes, blankets, diapers, sanitary napkins, school supplies, household items, etc.

As of December 3, the Cultural House has received a total of 20,679 blank notebooks, 12,452 pens and pencils, 409 backpacks, 412 school supplies and 638 household items. The goods will continue to be distributed and transported to people and students in affected areas in the coming time.

A representative of the Ho Chi Minh City Student Cultural House said that they will maintain long-term support activities, coordinate with many organizations and businesses to contribute to improving learning conditions for students in difficult areas, continue to affirm the spirit of sharing of the community, and help students in flood-affected areas confidently return to school after natural disasters.
