Quang Ninh deploys important tasks for the election

Many localities in Quang Ninh province have begun implementing a number of contents on the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.

In the border area, Mong Cai 1 ward has established an Election Steering Committee and issued documents to direct and manage the election work such as: Plan to propagate the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and the election of deputies to People's Councils at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term; plan to implement directives of the Politburo and Quang Ninh province on organizing the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels; establishment of the Election Committee of People's Council deputies of Mong Cai 1 ward for the 2026 - 2031 term. The Election Committee of Mong Cai 1 ward has established 3 sub-committees, 1 working group and has organized a conference to deploy the election work and completed the consultation on the structure and number of deputies to the ward People's Council.

Mr. Ho Quang Huy, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Ward People's Council, Head of the Election Steering Committee of Mong Cai 1 Ward, said: The early implementation of the election work is of great significance. Therefore, the members of the Election Council have done well in all aspects of work from building, implementing the election work, inspecting, supervising, doing well the consultation work, introducing candidates to run for election, ensuring democracy and compliance with the law; promptly detecting and handling new issues arising (if any) in the area. In the coming time, the locality will focus on organizing the First Consultation Conference well to agree on the structure, composition and number of people recommended to run for the People's Council, have a plan to introduce personnel, allocate the number of people of organizations, agencies and units recommended to run for the People's Council of the ward. The ward will also announce the list of constituencies for the election of National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies, the number of elected in each constituency; Strengthening propaganda work, subcommittees proactively organize meetings to develop plans and assign tasks to ensure timely implementation according to regulations and some other important contents.

The Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Co To Special Zone has completed the First Consultation Conference to reach an agreement on the structure, composition, and number of candidates for the People's Council of Co To Special Zone, term II, 2026 - 2030. Deputy Standing Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Election Committee of the Special Zone, Vu Van Khuong, informed that the First Consultation Conference is an important initial step, deciding the quality of personnel work for the election of the People's Council of term II. Therefore, the planning of the structure, composition, and number of candidates must be carried out in accordance with regulations, structure, substance, and objectivity, prioritizing the standards, qualities, and prestige of candidates, focusing on the proportion of women, young delegates, and grassroots representatives; at the same time, promoting democracy, publicity, and transparency in the entire consultation process.

At the 1st Consultation Conference of Co To Special Zone, 100% of delegates voted to agree on the structure, composition and number of candidates recommended for election as delegates to the People's Council of the Special Zone, term II, 2026-2031, with the number of candidates being 57 (an increase of 1 person compared to the initial plan); the structure ensures the required ratios including: 26 female delegates (45.6%); 19 delegates under 40 years old (33.3%); 6 non-Party delegates (10.52%); 17 re-elected delegates (29.8%).

Uong Bi Ward has completed the organization of the Conference to disseminate and deploy the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term; focusing on disseminating and discussing the Central and Provincial directive documents on election implementation; the overall election implementation plan, election propaganda plan, the plan to organize the first Consultative Conference and the plan to deploy inspection and supervision work... The Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Uong Bi Ward has developed a Plan to introduce candidates for People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.

The election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term is a major political event of the country, a great festival of the entire people, demonstrating the people's mastery, will and aspirations in building a socialist rule-of-law state, of the people, by the people and for the people.
