Here, the trainees were introduced to an overview of the integrated plant health management (IPHM) process and IPHM production on some key crops by officers of the Gia Lai Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection and the South Central Coast Agricultural Science and Technology Institute.

Students were instructed on some solutions to keep in mind when applying IPHM to production practices such as: composting organic fertilizer from agricultural by-products; using pesticides in the correct dosage for each type of crop, ensuring human health and the environment.
Along with that, students visited and learned about the combined organic and IPHM production model at Lam Anh Agricultural and Service Cooperative (Dak Doa commune).

This is one of the joint programs between the National Agricultural Extension Center and Gia Lai Provincial Agricultural Extension Center to transfer scientific and technical advances in integrated plant health management to farmers in the province, contributing to promoting the transition from traditional farming to clean, organic, environmentally friendly agricultural production, meeting domestic consumption and export needs.
