Nearly 100 agricultural extension officers have their professional qualifications improved.

On the afternoon of December 4, the National Agricultural Extension Center coordinated with the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Tuyen Quang province to organize a training conference to improve the effectiveness of grassroots agricultural extension activities in the new situation in the Northern Midlands and Mountains. Attending the conference were leaders of the National Agricultural Extension Center and nearly 100 officers working in agricultural extension in communes and wards in the province.

During the two days from December 4 to 5, agricultural extension officers in communes and wards in the province listened to lecturers from Hanoi National University and the Department of Legislation ( Ministry of Agriculture and Environment ) present key topics, including: Functions and tasks of the agricultural extension system in the 2-level local government model; Overview of legal regulations on decentralization, delegation of power, and division of authority in the fields of agriculture and environment when implementing the 2-level local government model; Professional title standards for agricultural extension officers according to current documents; Marketing knowledge and skills in consuming agricultural products in the context of digital transformation and rural economic development...

Through the conference, the grassroots agricultural extension staff had the opportunity to comprehensively update new knowledge, from the legal system to practical skills in implementing tasks at the local level. At the same time, accessing regulations on decentralization, delegation of authority and division of authority in the field of agriculture and environment helped grassroots staff better understand their roles and responsibilities in the two-level local government model currently being applied.

In addition, content related to marketing and consumption of agricultural products helps grassroots agricultural extension officers gain more skills to support farmers in building brands, connecting businesses, accessing new consumption channels, especially e-commerce and digital transformation in agriculture.
