Completing military service is not only the end of a journey of dedication but also the beginning of new career opportunities. With the deep concern of the Party, the State, and all levels of the industry, many career counseling programs, free vocational training (according to regulations) and job introduction have been organized regularly in Nghe An, creating a solid bridge to help soldiers easily integrate into the labor market.
Many preferential policies for discharged soldiers

Vocational College No. 4 is a unit under the Military Region 4 Command and is one of 70 high-quality schools nationwide receiving key investment from the Government . With more than 30 years of operation in the field of vocational training and job placement, the school has become a trusted address for tens of thousands of young people who have completed their military service to choose to learn a trade.
At the "Career counseling, vocational education and job introduction for young people completing military service in 2026" festival organized by the Political Department of the Military Region, Vocational College No. 4, Nghe An Provincial Youth Union on December 6, in just the morning, the booth of Vocational College No. 4 had more than 200 soldiers preparing to be discharged from the army coming to register for vocational training at the school. Of which, the majority chose technical majors such as: Automotive technology, construction machine operation, welding, metal cutting, industrial electricity, information technology...
Corporal Quang Van Huy, currently performing his duty in Military Region 4, said that he will be discharged in just under 2 months. Therefore, the Military Region's implementation of the Counseling Day at this time has brought many opportunities to young soldiers. "Before joining the army, I studied a program that included both general education and vocational training in Quynh Luu district (old). However, after a while, I found that my major was not suitable and I decided to go back to school at Vocational College No. 4 and register for the information technology major. My immediate goal is to go abroad to work after finishing my studies. I also believe that this major will have many recruitment opportunities in the domestic market."
Sergeant Hoang Van Huong said: “After being discharged from the army, I will study auto repair and welding to start a career in the future. This is also a traditional profession in my family, so I want to pursue it and study more systematically.”

Talking about the vocational training program for demobilized officers and soldiers, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Anh Tuan, Principal of Vocational College No. 4 - Ministry of National Defense said: Currently, the school has many policies for demobilized soldiers such as free tuition, training at enterprises, and priority for candidates to participate in labor export. In addition, the school also has many vocational training programs (from elementary to college) suitable for all subjects and flexible training forms such as training at school combined with training at enterprises (50%) of the course time, training at enterprises (100% of the course) or vocational training combined with general culture training. In particular, the school currently has many large partners such as Hong Hai Group, Honda Vietnam Company, Vinfast Company, LG Vietnam Company, Canon Vietnam Company, Samsung Company, Lilama Machine Installation Company... which will solve jobs and income for students during the study process as well as after graduation.
In addition to Vocational College No. 4, participating in the festival, many other units also exchanged recruitment and vocational training information of vocational training institutions, labor supply enterprises, and labor export for demobilized soldiers.
The first time the unit participated in the career counseling and vocational education festival, Deputy General Director of Green Speed Joint Stock Company Phan Van Lam said: "Our goal is to accompany young soldiers who have been discharged from the army to find job opportunities at the company and attract many people to train and work in the Japanese market. Wide open opportunities

Soldiers who have completed their military service are a high-quality workforce with advantages in discipline, industrial style, health and sense of responsibility. Career orientation after discharge needs to combine taking advantage of the State's incentives and maximizing the qualities that have been trained.
After completing their military service, young people will be granted a Vocational Training Card at a vocational training facility that has the function of training demobilized soldiers and police. With Vocational College No. 4, if they study a vocational course, they will have many advantages because the vocational training time is short (only 6-9 months for elementary level), there are opportunities for stable employment, high and sustainable income; free vocational training, and the choice of vocational training. In addition, after completing their studies, students can study at higher vocational levels in a short time (10 months) or can both study a vocational course and study a foreign language to register to work in Japan, Korea, and Taiwan (China).
Colonel Thai Duc Hanh, Deputy Chief of Political Affairs of Military Region 4, also affirmed that the implementation of the festival "Career counseling, vocational education and job introduction for young people completing military service in 2026" was carried out with the desire to contribute to raising awareness, supporting career orientation, and creating sustainable livelihoods.
Thereby, to widely propagate policies and guidelines to support vocational training and job creation for young people who have completed their military service. At the same time, connect young people with vocational training institutions, labor recruiting businesses, and new training models associated with digital transformation.
In addition, the program also creates conditions for soldiers preparing to complete their military service to have the opportunity to learn about careers and choose a direction that suits their strengths, aspirations and abilities.

Currently, large industrial parks in Nghe An such as VSIP Nghe An Industrial Park, Nam Cam Industrial Park, Hoang Mai Industrial Park often have great recruitment needs, especially for positions that require discipline and high technical skills. From professions such as security, professional security, management to technical fields such as welding, electronics, information technology, or labor export opportunities with attractive income levels, demobilized soldiers are a labor force sought after by the market and businesses.
Many vocational schools in Nghe An such as Vocational College No. 4/Ministry of National Defense and Vietnam - Korea Industrial Technical Vocational College have close cooperation programs with businesses, committing or introducing jobs immediately after graduation.
In fact, many vocational students at these schools are interned and paid at businesses, ensuring 95%-100% have stable jobs after graduation, with an income of 8-15 million VND/month.
With support from preferential policies of the State, especially Vocational Training Cards and preferential recruitment regimes, along with qualities tempered in the military such as iron discipline, sense of responsibility and ability to withstand pressure, discharged soldiers have enough foundation to build a stable and sustainable career.
