Not only are they dynamic and creative, but they also demonstrate an increasingly strong sense of social responsibility, contributing to making Da Nang a more civilized and sustainable city.

Initiatives from real life

On November 23rd, the Da Nang Youth Union, in collaboration with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), held a summary and evaluation of the project "Da Nang Youth Innovating Community Projects" for 2025. The program involved 27 projects from high schools and continuing education centers across the city.

In their project program "Creation," students Bui Thi Kim Ngan, Le Ho Huyen My, Thai Ngoc Vi, and Tran Hoang Kien (Phan Chau Trinh High School) presented a website that supports users in building and participating in projects in various fields. With an intuitive interface and AI chatbox feature, users can easily transform their ideas into concrete, detailed action plans.

Beyond simply creating projects that benefit individuals and the community, the platform also connects people with shared interests, supporting more efficient work and achieving better results by finding the right "teammates." Through this, "Creaction" spreads positive values and contributes to driving meaningful change within the community.

Meanwhile, the group of students Nguyen Bao Khang, Le Ha Linh, Tran Le Anh Tuyet, and Vu Hoang Anh (Ngo Quyen High School) presented their project "NQu Flood Fighter - a one-way valve to overcome engine stalling when driving through flooded areas".

The product operates on the principle that allows air and water to escape in only one direction, preventing reverse flow. Therefore, when the vehicle passes through flooded areas, exhaust gases are still expelled normally, while water is prevented from entering the exhaust pipe, reducing the risk of engine stalling and effectively protecting the engine.

The "NQu Flood Fighter - a one-way valve to prevent engine stalling when driving through flooded areas" is easy to install and use: users simply attach the valve to the exhaust pipe and secure it with specialized tape. When operating the vehicle in flooded conditions, maintain a stable speed of 30-35 km/h, avoiding sudden deceleration or braking to minimize water backflow. The product is suitable for most popular motorcycle models currently available.

It's especially noteworthy for its many outstanding advantages: low cost, compact design, easy installation, and a product bag with an integrated smart QR code for 24/7 user support on installation, operation, and troubleshooting.

Ms. Truong Thi Ngoc Phuong, Deputy Head of the Youth Union and Youth Affairs Department of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city, said that the program clearly demonstrates the proactive spirit, responsibility, and maturity of the city's youth in realizing initiatives for the community.

Over the two months of implementation, the project teams not only demonstrated creativity but also applied their acquired skills to develop scientific, systematic, and highly feasible plans. In particular, they approached the problem from a more modern perspective, emphasizing sustainability, inclusion, gender equality, and environmental friendliness, and boldly applied technology to optimize the project's effectiveness.

Strengthen training and professional development.

The Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Union recently collaborated with Da Nang University to organize a student science conference in the field of technology titled "Connecting Young Knowledge - Shaping the Future of Vietnamese Semiconductors" for students nationwide. This event is the seventh in a series of 11 national student science conferences, linked to strategic technology sectors as outlined in Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation, and national digital transformation.

Nguyen Thien Nhat, a student at the Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (Da Nang University), shared that academic forums play a role as a "bridge" between students, lecturers, scientists, and businesses. This is a space for people to meet, exchange knowledge, and jointly propose new research directions and applications that are valuable both scientifically and practically.

"Through these forums, we gain access to new knowledge, trends, and technologies in the semiconductor field. At the same time, we can raise any difficulties we encounter during our studies and research to receive timely support from experts and scientists," Nhật said.

Dr. Phan Minh Duc, Chairman of the University Council of Da Nang, said that Da Nang University is promoting interdisciplinary research cooperation models, connecting member universities, research institutes, technology enterprises, and international partners. In particular, the orientation is to build a startup and innovation ecosystem linked to Da Nang city's strategy by linking the high-tech zone with TechnoPole, including: incubation centers, prototype workshops, software development testing environments, and shared laboratories for semiconductors, AI, robotics, biomedical, materials, energy, etc.

Simultaneously, Da Nang University focuses on developing a workforce of students with a global mindset, mastering core technologies, and capable of participating in the value chain of the booming semiconductor industry. The expectation is that each student will be equipped with a solid foundation in science and engineering, becoming young engineers and innovators who contribute to the development of Vietnam's semiconductor chip industry.
