The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting informed that on the morning of December 4, cold air affected the Northeast region and some places in the North Central region, causing rain and light rain; the temperature dropped about 1-3 degrees Celsius, at Bach Long Vi station there was strong Northeast wind level 6.
According to the meteorological agency, on December 4, cold air will continue to affect other places in the North Central region, then affect the Northwest region and the northern part of the North Central region.
Today, the North continues to be cloudy, windy, light rain at night, cold (highest temperature 20-24 degrees Celsius).

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting also informed that on the night of December 3 and early morning of December 4, in Hue City, Da Nang City, the eastern part of the provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa and Lam Dong, there was moderate rain, heavy rain, and locally very heavy rain and thunderstorms. The rainfall from 7:00 p.m. on December 3 to early morning of December 4 was over 150mm in some places such as: Ba Na station (Da Nang) 203mm, Phan Dung station (Lam Dong) 195mm, Khanh Hiep station (Khanh Hoa) 189mm... Some stations in the Da Nang area measured rainfall exceeding 200-215mm, the rain covered the area from Hue to Lam Dong.
The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting continues to warn that due to the influence of increased cold air combined with the weakened low-pressure circulation from storm No. 15, and disturbances in the East wind zone, the area from South Quang Tri to Da Nang City, the eastern part of the provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa will have widespread moderate to heavy rain.
Specifically, from the morning until the end of the night of December 4, the area from South Quang Tri to Da Nang and the East of Quang Ngai province will have moderate to heavy rain with common rainfall of 40-90mm, locally very heavy rain over 150mm. From early morning until the end of December 4, the East of the provinces from Gia Lai to Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa and the East of Lam Dong province will have moderate to heavy rain with common rainfall of 30-60mm, locally very heavy rain over 120mm. From the night of December 4, heavy rain will gradually decrease in the above areas.
Currently, there are more than 300 communes and wards from South Quang Tri to Lam Dong at high risk of flash floods and landslides.
Along with that, on the day and night of December 4, the Central Highlands and the South will have scattered showers and thunderstorms with rainfall of 10-30mm, with some places experiencing heavy rain of over 60mm. From December 5, heavy rain in the area from South Quang Tri to Da Nang and the East of Quang Ngai province will tend to decrease.
In the South, rain coinciding with high tides may cause water levels in Ho Chi Minh City and Vinh Long to exceed alert level 3, increasing the risk of flooding along rivers and low-lying areas.
