JOIN HANDS FOR MULTI-DIMENSIONAL POVERTY REDUCTION
Right from the beginning of the 2024 - 2029 term, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee identified the work of caring for the poor and developing social security as a key task. Responding to the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses by 2025", after a short time of launching, the whole province established 62 charity house building groups with more than 6,000 working days participating.

Giving gifts to households in difficult circumstances at the National Great Unity Day and residential areas in Binh Ninh commune.
As of June 30, 2025, the province has completed the target of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses 3 months ahead of schedule, with 4,519 newly built and repaired houses (including 1,026 houses for meritorious people, 3,493 houses for poor and near-poor households), with a total cost of more than 386 billion VND. The new houses not only help people stabilize their lives after natural disasters, but also give them peace of mind to work and produce.
In parallel with housing support, the Fatherland Front at all levels in the province has also promoted resource mobilization through the "Peak Month for the Poor". From September 2024 to now, the "For the Poor" Fund at all levels has mobilized 13.8 billion VND; supported the construction and repair of 124 Great Solidarity houses worth 12 billion VND, along with social security activities with a total amount of 127.2 billion VND.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Cho Gao commune handed over the Great Unity house to Mr. Nguyen Van Bay's household, Thanh Loi hamlet.
Many sustainable poverty reduction livelihood models continue to be maintained, such as supporting livestock, seedlings, production means, vocational training, etc., helping people create stable incomes. Many gift giving programs and support for policy families and households affected by natural disasters and epidemics have been implemented promptly, creating positive effects in the community. It is expected that by the end of 2025, the number of poor households in the province will decrease to 0.8%.
In the field of disaster relief, the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels has received more than 48.5 billion VND and many essential items; all money and goods were transferred to people in disaster areas, helping them quickly overcome the consequences and stabilize their lives.
These results demonstrate the core role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in connecting social resources, while demonstrating the spirit of solidarity and mutual love of the entire people in multidimensional poverty reduction.
MANY ACTIVITIES TO CARE FOR THE PEOPLE
Not only at the provincial level, at the grassroots level, the Fatherland Front of communes and wards also implemented many practical models and activities, contributing to creating a widespread influence in the community.
In Cho Gao commune, the Fatherland Front coordinated with the government and socio- political organizations to mobilize more than 150 million VND from the “For the Poor” Fund to support the construction of 3 Great Solidarity houses. At the same time, the commune mobilized philanthropists inside and outside the locality to organize the programs “Spring of Love”, “Tet for the Poor”, giving more than 9,000 gifts worth 2.7 billion VND to poor, near-poor and disadvantaged households.

Thanks to hard work and local support, Ms. Phan Thi Ha
In Long Hiep hamlet, Tan Thuan Binh commune, people have escaped poverty sustainably.
Community engagement is clearly demonstrated through the National Great Unity Day held in 24 residential areas in Binh Ninh commune. At the festival, in addition to cultural activities, arts, folk games, sports competitions, and recognition of outstanding cultural families, the residential areas also gave gifts to poor and near-poor households and students in difficult circumstances. This year's festival, residential areas in Binh Ninh commune gave hundreds of gifts to households in difficult circumstances, with a total value of nearly 200 million VND.

From the capital support for cattle farming, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tiep's family,
Luong Hoa Lac commune has escaped poverty.
In Hong Ngu ward, the activities of mobilizing the Fund "For the Poor", the Fund "Repaying Gratitude", supporting the Great Unity House, and the House of Love are maintained regularly. The ward has mobilized and received more than 615 million VND for the fund and social security programs; repaired and built 269 new houses worth over 6.2 billion VND. At the same time, 13,000 m² of land and 200 working days were mobilized to build internal roads, supporting people's livelihoods and lives.
In Sa Dec ward, the movement to encourage learning and talent is considered a key task. The People's Self-Management Groups in coordination with the Front Committee have mobilized to award 3,515 scholarships worth 2.2 billion VND, and supported bicycles and school supplies for 7,352 students worth 3.3 billion VND. Volunteer teams also participated in building rural infrastructure, building 9 new bridges and supporting the transport of more than 2,000 patients to medical facilities. These diverse and synchronous activities create a comprehensive support network, from housing, livelihood, health care to education - core elements in multidimensional poverty reduction.
Solidarity Front, Poor Households Rise Up
Along with material support, the Fatherland Front and its member organizations have also promoted the development of sustainable poverty reduction models. In Binh Ninh commune, the models: "Piggy Bank", "Charity Rice Jar", "Health Insurance Card Support", "Comradely Love Fund", "Practicing Saving Following Uncle Ho's Example" have been effectively implemented, creating stable livelihoods for many households. Thanks to that, the commune has reduced the poverty rate to 0.93%; the average income reached 76 million VND/person/year.
The case of Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuong in An Lac Trung hamlet, Binh Ninh commune is a clear example. Previously a near-poor household, thanks to interest-free loans, she bought 4 goats to raise, combined with renting land to grow vegetables. Thanks to hard work, her family has escaped near-poverty, having a stable income from raising livestock and growing crops.
In Long Hiep hamlet, Tan Thuan Binh commune, by the end of 2023, all poor households had been "erased", with only 6 near-poor households remaining; more than 70% of households had achieved a fairly good or rich standard of living. Each year, the hamlet strives to support at least 2 households to escape poverty. Ms. Phan Thi Ha's family is a typical case: from being hired workers, lacking land for production, thanks to the support of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, her family has a solid house, a stable livelihood and has escaped poverty sustainably.
These stories of overcoming difficulties reflect the real effectiveness of poverty reduction programs implemented by the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and at the same time affirm that community support is the driving force for people to rise up on their own.
From housing support, livelihood development, healthcare, education to mobilizing social resources, the Fatherland Front at all levels has demonstrated an irreplaceable role in poverty reduction. Creative and sustainable models implemented in many localities have spread the spirit of humanity and aroused the people's will to be self-reliant.
In the context of increasingly high demands for poverty reduction, shifting from one-dimensional to multi-dimensional, the results achieved are an important foundation for localities to continue moving towards sustainable development. With the solidarity, responsibility and determination of the entire political system, poverty reduction work will continue to achieve many positive results, contributing to improving the quality of life of the people and building an increasingly civilized, prosperous and happy community.
