Urgent need to update management model in construction industry
In the construction industry development orientation for the period 2024-2035, the Government aims to improve productivity, standardize data and increase the application of technology in construction investment activities. In that context, a data-based management model becomes an inevitable direction.
Sharing at the "Make in Vietnam" Trade - Investment Promotion - Digital Technology Product Promotion Workshop organized by Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Tran Dai Nghia - General Director of Minh Duc Construction Group said that before digital transformation, Minh Duc Group faced many common limitations in the industry such as: The approval process is still manual, so it takes a lot of time and is prone to errors. Data is stored in many places, making it difficult to access and synthesize. Coordination between departments is not smooth, information is not communicated promptly. The supply chain operates in a fragmented manner, making progress and costs difficult to control. These bottlenecks slow down the implementation process and directly affect project efficiency.
Digital Platform: The Solution to Business Bottlenecks
Faced with inherent limitations in operations, Minh Duc Group determined that digital transformation is not only a measure to improve processes, but also a strategic step to restructure the entire management activities. On that basis, the enterprise chose to deploy the unified enterprise management platform MISA AMIS - a "Make in Vietnam" solution that is considered to respond well to the characteristics of the construction industry.
According to Mr. Tran Dai Nghia, the choice of digital applications comes from the need to build a management system that is wide enough and connects seamlessly between departments. This platform allows Minh Duc Group to operate financial - accounting, human resources, sales and office activities on the same unified system, instead of using many separate tools before. Data is connected in real time, helping to reduce errors, limit manual operations and significantly improve work processing speed.
“The MISA AMIS solution's ability to be deployed quickly, its reasonable cost and ease of use are important factors for Minh Duc Group to choose to deploy throughout the group's system with the characteristic of having many departments,” Mr. Nghia emphasized.
After three years of implementation, Minh Duc Group has recorded positive changes. Approval time is shortened, the process is more transparent and centralized data helps leaders monitor progress and costs in real time. Digitizing sales and customer care processes also helps the business increase the number of new customers by 10%. Operating costs are significantly optimized, including a 70% reduction in stationery costs and savings of about 216 million VND per year for control personnel...
In addition, the AI features integrated into the software also support departments within the Group to automate many repetitive tasks, warn of risks and provide timely information for the decision-making process. This feature is especially useful in projects with urgent progress or high technical requirements.
From the actual implementation results at Minh Duc in the recent past, it can be seen that digital transformation, when implemented in the right direction, can help businesses significantly improve operational efficiency and competitiveness. This is a strategic choice, helping businesses proactively adapt to rapid changes in the construction industry.
