Not only stopping at listening to people, Sa Pa ward also launched the "100 days and nights" campaign to upgrade, renovate and renew alleys and residential areas - an issue of particular concern to people.

Amid the cold weather of Sa Pa, more than 25 households in Ham Rong 2 residential group actively participated in mixing concrete and transporting materials to complete the last meters of road.

The 200m long, 2m wide road, which is muddy in the rainy season, is now gradually being concreted.

Mr. Ma A De, Ham Rong 2 residential group shared: "The ward supported all materials, people contributed labor, in just a few days the spacious, clean and beautiful road will be put into use, creating convenience for people and tourists."

At Giang A Chu street, Ham Rong 1 residential group, the construction atmosphere is also taking place urgently.

“With the support of nearly 10 tons of cement, 7 cubic meters of stone, and 18 cubic meters of sand from the ward, the households in the group have joined hands to rebuild more than 200 meters of road. From now on, people no longer have to worry about slippery roads during the rainy season, and it is also easier for people to transport agricultural products,” said Mr. Giang A Nha, a resident of Ham Rong 1 residential group, happily.

Sa Pa Ward enters the 2025 - 2030 term with the position of a national tourism center, a driving force for the province's socio-economic development. To meet the rapid development, welcoming millions of tourists each year, urban renovation and upgrading of traffic infrastructure are urgent requirements.

Before launching the campaign, the ward surveyed 47 routes, with a total length of about 20 km, mainly residential roads and alleys that had been degraded and damaged after natural disasters, many of which were muddy in the rainy season, directly affecting the lives and image of the urban tourism area.

Secretary of the Sa Pa Ward Party Committee Phan Dang Toan said: “The campaign was deployed for 100 days and nights, constructing about 20 km of road with a total cost of about 10 billion VND from socialized funds. However, after only 5 days of deployment, we have completed 12/47 routes. The ward strives to complete all routes before December 31, reaching the finish line 40 days ahead of schedule.”

After completing 47 routes in this campaign, Sa Pa ward continues to review and plan to open new routes and upgrade other routes to synchronize traffic infrastructure and meet the criteria of a modern tourist city.
