In early December, the working atmosphere at the construction site of the A Mu Sung Primary and Secondary Boarding School project in A Mu Sung commune became more urgent than ever. On the 6.8-hectare construction site, dozens of excavators, bulldozers and large trucks were operating continuously to speed up progress, aiming to complete the entire site before mid-December, creating conditions to enter the construction phase of the project's key items.

The A Mu Sung Primary and Secondary Boarding School Project is one of four special education projects that Lao Cai province has been implementing since November 2025, aiming to improve learning conditions for students in border areas where there are many difficulties in educational infrastructure. Therefore, the current site leveling project is closely monitored to ensure progress as planned.
Complete site clearance soon
The A Mu Sung Primary and Secondary Boarding School project has a scale of 36 classrooms, including the principal's office building, classroom building, multi-purpose building, dining hall, dormitory, teachers' housing, and a synchronous technical infrastructure system.

Of the total area of 6.8 hectares, 5 hectares are used for main construction blocks; the rest is reserved for reserve funds and production areas, helping students practice practical skills suitable for local agricultural conditions.
During the implementation process, 10 households had their production land, trees and crops affected. The commune government proactively intervened, organized dialogues and propaganda to help people understand the project's objectives and long-term benefits. Thanks to that, the site clearance work went smoothly and was completed in early December.

Sharing about the process of mobilizing people, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Trinh - Chairman of the People's Committee of A Mu Sung commune said: We have closely coordinated with the Provincial Project Management Board to develop a specific plan; assigned organizations closely follow the grassroots, propagate to gain people's consensus, thereby creating favorable conditions for contractors to construct on schedule.
For households within the project scope, the commune has carefully reviewed the affected area, ensuring compensation levels are correct, timely and transparent.
The handover of the site took place as committed, helping the investor and the construction unit to focus on the leveling item - the decisive part of the entire construction implementation roadmap.

Construction site works continuously in 2 shifts
At the construction site, dozens of machines were mobilized by the contractor at the same time, divided into many construction teams on the steep hillsides. Each day, the work shifts lasted up to 22 hours to make up for the missing volume, especially during favorable weather.

According to Mr. Nguyen Tien Thanh - Deputy Head of Project Department 1, Provincial Construction Investment Management Board: As soon as the contract is signed, we require the contractor to mobilize maximum equipment and human resources. The investor regularly follows the scene to urge and remove difficulties.
"Our goal is to complete the entire leveling part of the project before December 15, so that we can immediately deploy all construction items simultaneously," said Mr. Thanh.

Design review and cost estimates for each project are also being carried out in parallel.
Up to now, the appraisal documents for the leveling, internal traffic and 9/10 blocks of houses have been completed; only the multi-purpose house and some infrastructure and exterior items are being completed.
The entire dossier is expected to be completed by December 15, 2025.

On the contractor side, Mr. Dang Manh Hung - Director of Phuc Anh Construction Company Limited shared: We divided the construction site into many construction teams, organizing continuous work in two shifts.
Currently, the site has reached over 50% of the volume, expected to be completed on December 15.
Regarding materials and human resources, the unit has fully prepared and signed contracts with suppliers to ensure materials for construction from now until Lunar New Year.
Thanks to the proactive coordination of the investor, local authorities and construction units, the construction site maintains a high pace.
However, the project still faces some objective difficulties: the access route from Provincial Road 158 to the construction site passes through the resettlement area of the project invested by Economic - Defense Group 345; some households have not agreed, causing the site clearance work in this area to be delayed, affecting the transportation of materials to the construction site.
The investor of the A Mu Sung Primary and Secondary Boarding School project has requested relevant units to coordinate to resolve the issue, in order to avoid slowing down the overall progress.
Project completion target is August 2026

As a key educational project in the border area, A Mu Sung Primary and Secondary Boarding School is expected to become a modern and spacious learning environment for students from grades 1 to 9 in the area.
When completed, the school will fully meet students' needs for concentrated learning, reduce the distance to class and create conditions for parents to feel secure in developing their economy.
According to the plan, the entire project will be completed by the end of August 2026. The investor affirmed that it will continue to closely monitor the site, coordinate construction teams appropriate to each stage, and closely coordinate with the commune government to handle arising issues.

Not only a construction project, this project also demonstrates the province's determination to narrow the development gap between the border area and the central area, especially in the field of education.
When put into use, A Mu Sung Primary and Secondary Boarding School will become an important highlight in the education system of Lao Cai province, contributing to improving the quality of local human resources in the future.
