Lam Dong: Gia Bac Pass has landslides in many places, prohibiting traffic

On the night of December 3, Mr. Vu Duc Nhuan, Chairman of the People's Committee of Son Dien Commune (Lam Dong Province) said that on National Highway 28, the section passing through Gia Bac Pass (in Son Dien Commune, Lam Dong Province), there were many landslides, causing traffic disruption.

Initial information, in the evening of the same day, heavy rain appeared in a large area in Lam Dong province. Landslides occurred in many locations at Km43, Km45, Km50 on National Highway 28.

Rocks and soil flooded down and covered the entire Gia Bac pass road surface.

At the scene, a large amount of rock and soil and forest trees spilled onto the road, making it impossible for vehicles to pass.

Currently, Gia Bac pass prohibits vehicles from passing through to ensure safety.

Immediately after receiving the news, the authorities notified and regulated traffic at both ends of the pass. For now, people and vehicles are temporarily not allowed to pass through to ensure safety.

Authorities were present at the scene to inspect landslides on Highway 28 through Gia Bac Pass.

Previously, SGGP Newspaper reported that during the heavy rains in November 2025, Gia Bac Pass also suffered landslides many times, causing traffic disruption for many days.

Lam Dong province then issued an emergency construction order to overcome the serious landslide at Gia Bac pass.
