Temporarily suspending passenger transport route from Phan Thiet to Phu Quy special economic zone

Due to bad weather, on the afternoon of December 4, passenger transport ships from Phan Thiet to Phu Quy special economic zone, Lam Dong province, announced to passengers about the temporary suspension and change of operating schedule.

Specifically, according to the announcement of Superdong - Kien Giang High-Speed ​​Boat Joint Stock Company, according to the weather forecast, in the Phan Thiet - Phu Quy sea area there are high waves and strong winds exceeding the safe operating level. For the absolute safety of passengers, Superdong temporarily suspends the Phan Thiet - Phu Quy route for two days, December 6 and 7.

For customers who have paid a deposit or 100% of the ticket price, if the train is temporarily suspended on the departure date due to weather, Superdong will refund the portion of the ticket price that the customer has paid or change the ticket to the next operating day. Superdong will continue to monitor the situation and update the latest operating schedule as soon as the weather stabilizes.

Along with that, Phu Quoc Express Joint Stock Company also announced the temporary suspension of the Phan Thiet - Phu Quy route and vice versa from December 6 to 8 due to bad weather. It is expected that on December 9, the unit will resume the above transport route according to the registered schedule. The temporary suspension is to ensure the safety of tourists during the trip.

Phu Quy Special Zone is located more than 56 nautical miles from the mainland, so all trading activities, goods and passenger transportation depend on the sea route. Currently, the Phan Thiet - Phu Quy transport route has transport ships operating regularly, namely Superdong Phu Quy I, Superdong Phu Quy II, Trung Trac... Every year, during the Northeast wind season (from November of the previous year to the end of April of the following year), the transportation of goods and passengers from the mainland to Phu Quy district faces many difficulties.

Previously, in response to storm No. 15, Lam Dong province implemented a sea ban from 7:00 a.m. on November 28 to December 1. All tourist boats, transport ships, and fishing vessels were banned from operating during that time.
