At noon on December 4, a large landslide appeared on Prenn Pass in Da Lat, causing rocks and many pine trees from the slope to fall onto the road, completely burying the pass in the middle of the route.
Immediately upon receiving the news, the functional forces of Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat coordinated with the Traffic Police Department of Lam Dong Provincial Police to block off the scene, set up barriers, and temporarily stopped two-way traffic.
Authorities temporarily divert traffic up and down Da Lat via Ta Nung Pass (Provincial Road 725) and Sacom Tuyen Lam Pass.
According to initial records, tens of cubic meters of soil, rocks, tree trunks and roots covered the road surface, creating a risk of further landslides if heavy rain continues.
There have been no reports of casualties or vehicle damage at the time of the landslide; on-site inspections are continuing to ensure there are no more trapped vehicles.
Local forces have arranged markers and warning signs, and assigned officers to be on duty 24/7 to keep watch and prevent curious people from approaching the dangerous landslide edge.

The specialized agency simultaneously deployed two tasks: clearing and urgently unloading the mass of materials that had spilled onto the road surface to quickly open a technical path and checking the stability of the slope, especially the hidden cracks on the positive slope. The drainage system along and across the landslide area was cleared to reduce the pressure of groundwater on the slope.
