At noon on December 4th, a large landslide occurred on Prenn Pass in Da Lat, causing soil, rocks, and many pine trees to fall from the embankment onto the road, completely burying the pass in the middle section.
Upon receiving the report, the authorities of Xuan Huong ward, Da Lat, in coordination with the Traffic Police Department of Lam Dong province, immediately sealed off the scene, set up barricades, and temporarily suspended traffic in both directions.
Authorities are temporarily diverting traffic to and from Da Lat via Ta Nung Pass (Provincial Road 725) and Sacom Tuyen Lam Pass.
Initial observations indicate that tens of cubic meters of soil, rocks, and tree trunks and roots have covered the road surface, creating a risk of further landslides if heavy rain continues.
No casualties or vehicle damage have been reported at the time of the landslide; on-site inspections are ongoing to ensure no one is trapped.
Local forces have placed markers and warning signs, and assigned officers to be on duty 24/7 to monitor and prevent curious onlookers from approaching the dangerous landslide area.

The specialized agency simultaneously deployed two teams: urgently clearing and removing the debris that had spilled onto the road to quickly open a technical access route, and checking the stability of the slope, especially the hidden cracks on the embankment. The drainage system along and across the landslide area was cleared to reduce groundwater pressure on the slope.
