Race to the finish line
In late May, despite the heavy rain, construction continued uninterrupted at the Thuận An border commune's multi-level boarding school in Lâm Đồng province. More than 270 engineers and workers, along with machinery and equipment, were mobilized to roof, build walls, complete infrastructure, and other auxiliary facilities.

According to contractors, the construction process faced numerous difficulties due to the sharp increase in building material prices and the scarcity of labor. However, the units proactively coordinated manpower and stabilized the supply to ensure the project's progress.
Mr. Ha Sy Son, Director of Investment and Construction Project Management Board No. 3 of Lam Dong province, said: The investor is coordinating with construction units to organize work in "3 shifts, 4 teams," controlling progress daily and weekly to complete construction before July 30th.

Alongside the construction phase, the procurement of teaching equipment, furniture, and other items for boarding students is also being carried out simultaneously to ensure they are ready for installation immediately after the project is completed.
Alongside construction, the education sector and border localities in Lam Dong province are urgently preparing teachers, management personnel, and enrollment plans. Specifically, the Quang Truc Commune boarding school is expected to accommodate approximately 900 students across 30 classes from primary to secondary school levels.
Accordingly, Quang Truc commune has transferred 32 teaching staff positions and is also developing a plan to recruit additional personnel to serve in management, administration, and logistics.

Upon completion, the two new schools will provide centralized learning and living facilities for approximately 1,800 students in border areas, contributing to improving the quality of education, narrowing the educational access gap between regions, and creating a future workforce for border areas.
Urgent land clearance needed for 3 boarding schools in border areas.
On June 1st, the Lam Dong Provincial Investment and Construction Project Management Board No. 3 announced that local authorities are urgently completing land clearance work to hand over land for the construction of three multi-level boarding schools in the border area before July 1st, ensuring the implementation progress in accordance with the Politburo 's policy.

Accordingly, construction of three boarding schools at the Dak Wil, Thuan Hanh, and Tuy Duc levels will begin in March 2026, with a total investment of nearly 678 billion VND. Each school will have 30 classrooms from grades 1 to 9, meeting the learning and living needs of more than 1,000 students and teachers.
According to information from Project Management Board No. 3, the project's funding has been fully allocated. Design documents and cost estimates have been completed, and contractors are ready to commence construction as soon as they receive sufficient land.

However, to ensure progress, the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee has worked with local authorities and relevant units, requesting the completion of land clearance before June 30th. Currently, the two projects in Dak Wil and Thuan Hanh communes have cleared approximately 20% of the required land area, while the project in Tuy Duc commune has reached about 10%.
Mr. Ha Sy Son affirmed: Local authorities are mobilizing the entire political system to expedite the process of surveying, appraising, and approving compensation plans, while also encouraging people to hand over land early to create favorable conditions for contractors to carry out construction according to schedule.
During the period 2025-2027, Lam Dong province will implement the construction of 5 multi-level boarding schools in the border communes of Dak Wil, Thuan An, Thuan Hanh, Tuy Duc, and Quang Truc, in accordance with the Politburo's policy. Of these, 2 schools in Thuan An and Quang Truc communes will begin construction at the end of 2025 and are entering the final stages to be ready for use before the new school year.
