Madam, during the 2020-2025 term, the work of the Fatherland Front in the city has made many significant achievements. Could you summarize the most outstanding results?

Over the past term, the Fatherland Front at all levels in Hue City has clearly demonstrated its central role in the great national unity. We have always innovated our methods, enhanced our proactiveness and creativity, thereby mobilizing and uniting the people to effectively carry out political tasks.

Patriotic emulation movements and campaigns launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front continue to spread strongly. In the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" alone, the entire city has implemented more than 1,800 projects and tasks; and started and put into use 240 public works projects worth over 200 billion VND. To date, 94.4% of families have been recognized as culturally exemplary families and 95.3% of residential areas have met cultural standards. This result is achieved thanks to the unity of the people and the coordinated efforts of the Fatherland Front system and other political and social organizations.

The mobilization of social resources has achieved many remarkable successes. At all levels, the Vietnam Fatherland Front has mobilized over 692 billion VND, supporting the construction of 292 public works, building and repairing 3,174 solidarity houses, providing production capital to more than 9,000 poor households, giving 37,000 gifts to disadvantaged students, organizing medical examinations and treatment for 65,000 people, and taking care of Tet (Lunar New Year) for more than 400,000 poor people. As a result, the poverty rate in the city has decreased to 1.15%, making a significant contribution to the goal of sustainable development.

A prominent feature of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City is its call for support for vulnerable people.

Besides movements and advocacy work, are social monitoring and critical feedback activities considered important tasks of the Vietnam Fatherland Front?

We consider social monitoring and criticism as a core responsibility of the Fatherland Front, contributing to the protection of the legitimate rights and interests of the people. During the past term, the City Fatherland Front chaired 1,097 monitoring activities; and coordinated 1,506 inspections and monitoring activities across many practical areas that directly impact people's lives.

Through its monitoring activities, the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) has promptly grasped, compiled, and reflected many opinions and suggestions from the people to the government. Many pressing issues such as infrastructure, social security, and support policies have been addressed in a timely manner. This clearly demonstrates the VFF's role as a bridge between the people and the Party committees and government, while also contributing to strengthening trust and creating social consensus.

The quality of social critique activities has also been improved. We participate in providing feedback on many important policies, projects, and draft documents of the city, aiming to ensure that policies are in line with reality and the aspirations of the people.

As we enter the 2025-2030 term, what key directions and solutions will the City's Fatherland Front focus on, Madam?

The overarching goal of the new term is to continue building, strengthening, and promoting the power of national unity; to strongly awaken patriotism, national pride, and the aspiration for development.

We will focus on several major tasks, namely: Continuing to innovate the content and methods of operation in a practical, effective, and grassroots-oriented direction. The Vietnam Fatherland Front must truly be a place to gather the will and aspirations of the people; effectively playing the role of a bridge between the Party, the government, and the people. The Front will strengthen propaganda and mobilize the people to participate in patriotic emulation movements, thereby contributing to the achievement of socio-economic development goals, maintaining national defense and security; and improving the quality of social supervision and criticism.

The Fatherland Front at all levels will continue to participate in building the Party and the government, promoting the fight against corruption, waste, and negative phenomena; ensuring that the voices of the people are heard and reflected promptly. At the same time, it will strengthen the organizational structure of the Fatherland Front at all levels, strongly promote the role of member organizations; and direct activities towards the grassroots, so that the Front truly stays close to the people, understands the people, and serves the people.

How do you assess the significance of the 11th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Ho Chi Minh City for the next stage of development?

The 11th Congress is a significant political event, marking a new turning point for the Fatherland Front of the city. This is an opportunity for us to review and affirm the achievements made; and at the same time, to set forth directions and tasks that are in line with the practical requirements of the new period.

With the spirit of "Unity - Democracy - Innovation - Development," we believe that the Fatherland Front at all levels in Hue City will continue to strive, innovate, and unite with the people, strongly arousing the patriotism, compassion, and resilience of the people of Hue. The entire Fatherland Front system is determined to contribute to building Hue City into an increasingly prosperous, civilized, and developed city, moving towards a green, smart, and distinctive direction.
