Following the National Assembly session, General Secretary To Lam and members of the Hanoi City National Assembly Delegation, constituency No. 1, met with voters in 11 wards of Hanoi and voters in Hung Yen province to carry out voter outreach activities.

During the meeting, the General Secretary addressed many issues of concern to voters. Notably, General Secretary To Lam informed voters about the corruption and misconduct occurring at many environmental monitoring stations, leading to inaccurate data.

General Secretary To Lam stated: "Recently, and very sadly, all the toll collection stations here have been plagued by corruption, inaccurate data, and deception. Reporting to the voters, the police have recently investigated and prosecuted these individuals. These individuals colluded with factories and the stations to provide inaccurate pollution readings. Otherwise, the factories would have to relocate. Therefore, the sensors installed did not meet the requirements. Today, I am very boldly reporting this to the voters."

Strictly deal with fake news and prevent leaks of internal information.

Voter Le Gia Anh from Lang Ward suggested that the production and sale of counterfeit goods should be dealt with severely, and that the legal framework should be improved to manage counterfeit and substandard goods, protecting consumer rights. He also proposed strengthening price controls and implementing measures to address price manipulation and speculative profiteering, especially in the real estate sector, to stabilize the housing market. The voter also suggested that relevant authorities strengthen control and inspection of telecommunications companies, and crack down on fraudulent messages and calls using illegal AI, and advertising substandard goods that cause damage to the property of both the people and the State.

Regarding this issue, the General Secretary stated: Concerned about online fraud, AI-powered voice impersonation, substandard goods, and inflated real estate prices... We continue to take this into account and will direct relevant agencies to strengthen coordination to ensure cybersecurity and protect citizens in the digital space.

Voters probably remember a time when "officials acting as journalists" and "citizens acting as journalists" caused chaos and severely impacted the early stages of development. But later, it didn't work anymore. Now, nobody trusts them anymore; all credibility has been lost. And now, new types of individuals are emerging.

These individuals must also be dealt with and warned against. Even those within the organization, those who provide fake news and information to support foreign entities, must be dealt with. Our voters, if they visit those websites, are essentially paying them money. They make a living from this. They constantly release sensational and misleading information. People believe it, access the sites, and each time they go online, they pay them a little money.

This afternoon, during a meeting with voters from the three communes of Kiến Xương, Lê Lợi, and Quang Lịch in Hưng Yên province, General Secretary Tô Lâm addressed people's concerns regarding education as well as the fight against corruption, waste, and negative practices.

General Secretary To Lam stated that the economy generates over 2 trillion VND annually, but there are still more than 3,000 projects that are slow to implement, causing a waste of resources with a total estimated value of nearly 2 trillion VND.

"We must resolve these issues to achieve double-digit growth. Our anti-corruption efforts have established a solid foundation and have matured in this struggle, effectively curbing the threat of corruption. However, without it, the survival of the regime and the Party will be jeopardized, and the people will lose faith in the Party," the General Secretary emphasized.

Schools cannot be turned into places that provide services for profit.

Responding to public and voter concerns about some provincial education departments collaborating with companies, bringing in external teachers to teach English and AI subjects, and charging more than the tuition fees waived by the State, General Secretary To Lam emphasized the view that schools cannot be turned into places for providing services and collecting fees.

"Party Secretaries and Chairmen, please review this. It's unacceptable to bring companies in to partner with schools to teach foreign languages and AI, then force parents to pay. There have been complaints that the state only provides 1.2 million VND for these subjects, but now parents are paying 3 million VND for extra classes. This is very unreasonable," said General Secretary To Lam.

On this occasion, General Secretary To Lam visited and presented gifts to the family of Mr. Nguyen Trong Hieu, born in 1948, residing in Quang Trung Hamlet, Kien Xuong Commune, a war invalid with 81% disability, and other exemplary families of meritorious individuals in the area who have made great efforts to improve their lives.
