Affirming the role of the people's representative

On the afternoon of December 15th, the Thanh Hoa Provincial National Assembly Delegation held a meeting to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the first general election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2026); and to summarize the activities of the Thanh Hoa Provincial National Assembly Delegation of the 15th term. Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Vu Hong Thanh attended and delivered a guiding speech.

The Chairman of Thanh Hoa province presented Certificates of Commendation to collectives that have made outstanding contributions and achievements.

At the ceremony, delegates reviewed the glorious traditions of the Vietnamese National Assembly during its 80 years of close association and companionship with the nation.

Over its 15 terms of operation, under the absolute and comprehensive leadership of the Party, the Vietnamese National Assembly has made outstanding contributions to the country's construction and development. Specifically, at its 10th session, the 15th National Assembly considered and passed 51 laws and 39 resolutions, accounting for 30% of the total number of laws and normative legal resolutions enacted during the entire term.

Throughout the glorious journey of the Vietnamese National Assembly, generations of National Assembly deputies from Thanh Hoa province have made many important contributions. Most recently, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Delegation of the 15th National Assembly has continued to affirm its position as a strong, capable, intelligent, and experienced collective; always active, proactive, and creative in all activities, leaving many outstanding marks.

Concluding the activities of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Delegation to the 15th National Assembly, the Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Commendation to 13 collectives and 24 individuals for their outstanding contributions.

On behalf of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Vu Hong Thanh expressed gratitude for the great contributions of generations of National Assembly deputies, including those from Thanh Hoa province. Vice Chairman Vu Hong Thanh requested that the Thanh Hoa Provincial National Assembly Delegation promptly complete its program and work plan; continue to effectively implement tasks related to participating in lawmaking according to the Law and Ordinance Drafting Program; and carry out supervision and survey activities according to the National Assembly and Standing Committee's 2026 Supervision Plan and Program.

Innovate the work of citizen petitions and supervision towards digitalization, synchronization, and efficiency; effectively receive and process complaints and denunciations from citizens and suggestions from voters; strengthen the review, urging, and supervision of the resolution and responses of competent authorities to complaints and denunciations from citizens and suggestions from voters forwarded by the Provincial National Assembly Delegation.

Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Vu Hong Thanh delivered a speech giving directions.

The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly discussed maintaining unity and close coordination with the People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Hoa province in personnel matters; ensuring that the delegates to the 16th National Assembly are truly outstanding individuals, meeting the standards and worthy of representing the will and aspirations of the people.

Many individuals who made significant contributions to the activities of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Delegation to the National Assembly during the 15th term were awarded Certificates of Commendation by the Chairman of Thanh Hoa Province.

Based on the summary of the term, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Delegation of the 15th National Assembly will continue to accompany and share practical experience with the 16th National Assembly Delegation to promote its role as a "bridge," reflecting the aspirations of voters and people in the province to the National Assembly, the Government, and central agencies; making positive contributions to the overall activities of the 16th National Assembly, and helping to enhance the role and image of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Delegation of the National Assembly.
