"The leaders of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation hope that team leaders or representatives of federations and associations will share and encourage athletes throughout the training and competition process at the SEA Games 33 ," information from the Vietnamese Sports Delegation stated.
Earlier, on December 13th, swimmer Vo Thi My Tien, after winning the silver medal at the 33rd SEA Games in the women's 400m individual medley, burst into tears after a leader of the Vietnam Aquatic Sports Association came to speak with her.

According to our research, this leader is Mr. Dinh Viet Hung - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Aquatic Sports Association. He demonstrated swimming techniques to My Tien right after the Vietnamese athlete received the silver medal on the awards podium.
Initially, My Tien listened attentively to Mr. Viet Hung's words, but then she burst into tears and went straight into the dressing room. This scene was immediately captured by both domestic and international media.
Many believe that giving feedback and guidance to athletes to help them learn from their competition experience is normal; however, Mr. Dinh Viet Hung did not choose the right time to demonstrate this to the athlete. It's worth noting that this silver medal is very valuable for My Tien, and she deserved encouragement and praise, rather than being reprimanded right in the pool in front of thousands of people.
