To commemorate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Germany (1975 - 2025), two concerts titled "A Rhapsody of Two Worlds" will take place at the Ho Guom Theatre ( Hanoi ) on December 20-21.
The bipolar musical piece is likened to a wordless dialogue between the artistic souls of Vietnam and Germany, becoming a bridge bringing the finest of world music closer to the domestic audience, while simultaneously spreading Vietnamese cultural values internationally.

The program features the Tübingen Academy Symphony Orchestra (Germany) under the direction of conductor Philipp Amelung, along with leading classical artists from Vietnam.
The concert will present to the audience the Kieu Suite, written for guitar and symphony orchestra by Professor Dang Ngoc Long, Principal of the Berlin-Gesundbrunnen School of Music and President of the Artistic Council of the Berlin International Guitar Competition, inspired by the masterpiece *Truyen Kieu* by the great poet Nguyen Du.
This work has been chosen for performance by many orchestras and artists in Germany and will be a highlight for classical music lovers in Vietnam during this concert program. It represents a unique fusion of Vietnamese spirit and Western music.
Also in the program, artist Nguyen Viet Trung and the Tübingen Symphony Orchestra performed the Piano Concerto in G major - one of Maurice Ravel's most brilliant masterpieces, composed between 1929 and 1931.
Audiences also had the opportunity to enjoy many other works such as Felix Mendelssohn's Piano Trio No. 1 in D minor - one of the most famous chamber music works of the Romantic period; Franz Schubert's Symphony No. 8 (also known as the Unfinished Symphony) and Johann Strauss II's Kaiserwalzer (The Emperor's Dance).

Founded in 1957, the Tübingen Symphony Orchestra is one of Germany's most prestigious orchestras, renowned for its commitment to international cultural exchange and nurturing young talent. The orchestra has toured over 70 countries and territories, offering audiences innovative programs that are both academically rich and encourage community engagement.
Conductor Philipp Amelung is one of Germany's most versatile and influential conductors. A graduate of the Tolzer Knabenchor – a leading children's choir in Europe – he continued his artistic career with a solid foundation at the Munich Music University, before collaborating with numerous major orchestras in Germany, the Czech Republic, and the United States.
In 2011, he assumed the position of Music Director at the University of Tubingen, directly conducting orchestras and choirs, while also expanding international collaborations with many countries.
The "Bipolar Instrumental Performance" program also features Professor Dang Ngoc Long, one of Vietnam's most prominent classical guitarists internationally, currently living and working in Berlin. He is the first Vietnamese person to have a music competition named after him in Germany: Long - Wettbewerb fur Sologitarre (Long Solo Guitar Competition).

Pianist Nguyen Viet Trung, a recipient of numerous prestigious international awards, along with talented artists from the Sun Symphony Orchestra, including violinist Do Phuong Nhi and cellist Tran Hong Nhung, also participated in the program.
