The son of singer Trong Tan won second prize, while Dao Le Phuong Chi was crowned the champion of the Hanoi Singing Contest 2025.

Vu Tan Dat, son of singer Trong Tan, reached the finals of the Hanoi Singing Contest 2025 and won second prize by performing two songs his father used to sing; Dao Le Phuong Chi was the champion of the Hanoi Singing Contest 2025.

The final round of Hanoi Singing Contest 2025 took place on the evening of December 9 at Hoan Kiem Theater, Hanoi; and was broadcast live on H2 channel and digital platforms of Hanoi Radio.

The 15 best contestants in the three genres of chamber music, folk music and pop music present in the final round include Nguyen Thuy Hai Anh, Nguyen Hoang Duy, Hoang Van Hiep, Nguyen Gia Linh, Nguyen Le Duy Anh, Nguyen Phuong Anh, Lai Huu Duy Anh, Tran Anh Thu, Hoang Khanh Ly, Pham Hong Anh, Vo Thi Duyen, Vu Tan Dat, Tran Thi Thanh Thao, Dao Le Phuong Chi and Nguyen Van Viet Cuong.

Right from the qualifying round, Vu Tan Dat (born in 2005) attracted attention as the son of singer Trong Tan, one of the leading voices of red music (revolutionary music) and mainstream music today.

In the final night, Tan Dat opened the show and continued to test his strength with two songs that his father Trong Tan had performed: My Fatherland Has Never Been So Beautiful and The Legend of Hoan Kiem Lake .

Compared to his father who possesses a lyrical tenor voice with skillful vocal technique, singing red music heartily, powerfully but not dryly but simply, emotionally, and smoothly, Tan Dat is certainly not as good.

In the two songs selected for the competition, in The Legend of Hoan Kiem Lake , Tan Dat's voice was emotional, his performance was dignified and lit up the stage, but in the first song, his breath was not steady in some places, the climax lacked fire and individuality.

In the end, Vu Tan Dat came in second, but having been exposed to music since childhood, learning many musical instruments and listening to many different genres of music, this contestant's journey will not stop here.

Previously, the singer's son shared that he joined the program to gain experience for his future artistic career.

Vũ Tấn Đạt initially did not study vocal music but instead studied jazz drumming at the Vietnam National Academy of Music.

By chance, his father discovered his singing talent when he was in his third year and trained him, so Tan Dat transferred to the intermediate vocal music program at the same academy.

On the stage of the 2021 Music Road program, father and son sang the song Winter Coat for the first time, impressing the audience. Since then, many viewers have sent congratulations to Trong Tan and praised "like father, like son".

Surpassing other contestants, with Song Dakrong Mua Xuan Ve and Nguoi Ha Noi , second-year student of the Vietnam National Academy of Music Dao Le Phuong Chi won convincingly and became the champion of Hanoi Singing Voice 2025.

Her prize has a total value of up to 600 million VND, including a car and cash.

First prize was awarded to two chamber music and light music contestants, Nguyen Phuong Anh and Nguyen Thuy Hai Anh.

Among the four second prize winners, there are two chamber music singers, Pham Hong Anh and Vu Tan Dat, and two folk singers, Nguyen Gia Linh and Vo Thi Duyen. Nguyen Van Viet Cuong is a pop music singer in this group.

The three third prize winners were three contestants with different styles: Hoang Van Hiep (chamber music), Hoang Khanh Ly (folk music), and Nguyen Le Duy Anh (light music).

The contestant who performed the best song about Hanoi was Nguyen Hoang Duy; Lai Hieu Duy Anh won the award for most impressive performance style. The most promising contestant was awarded to Tran Anh Thu. The most popular contestant on the Hanoi On app was Tran Thi Thanh Thao.
