The 'Hanoi Singing Contest 2025' has found its champion, while Trong Tan's son came in second place.

With the performance of two songs “Dakrong River in Spring” and “Hanoi People”, contestant Dao Le Phuong Chi - student of singer Phuong Nga became the Champion of the contest.

On the evening of December 9, at Hoan Kiem Theater, Hanoi Radio and Television held the Final Ranking and Awarding Night of the "Hanoi Singing Contest 2025."

With her performance of two songs “Dakrong River in Spring” and “Hanoi People,” contestant Dao Le Phuong Chi became the Champion of the contest. She is a second-year student at the Vietnam National Academy of Music, a student of the first generation of Sao Mai singer Phuong Nga.

Her prize has a total value of up to 600 million VND, including a car and cash.

First Prize was awarded to two candidates in Chamber Music and Light Music, Nguyen Phuong Anh and Nguyen Thuy Hai Anh. No candidate in Folk Style was awarded First Prize.

Notably, contestant Vu Tan Dat (born in 2005), son of singer Trong Tan, came in second in the Chamber Style with his performance of two songs , "My Fatherland Has Never Been So Beautiful" and "Legend of Hoan Kiem Lake."

The “Hanoi Singing Voice” contest has gone beyond the framework of a simple music contest to become a prestigious “launching pad”, a place to nurture young, professional and promising voices. Many singers have participated in the contest and won prizes, become successful artists, built a serious musical career, and continued to contribute - a testament to the widespread power and long-term influence of the contest.

Not only is it a place to discover talents, “The Voice of Hanoi” also plays an important role in shaping the aesthetics of popular music. Audiences in the capital and the whole country can enjoy professional and refined voices - which contributes to improving the public's listening and visual tastes, while preserving and spreading the value of Vietnamese music.

After two rounds of Preliminary and Semi-Final, the competition has selected 33 most outstanding candidates to enter the Final round. Candidates come from many art training institutions, universities, music centers and singing communities in Hanoi and some provinces, international candidates compete in three styles: Chamber, Folk, and Light Music. That colorful diversity makes the final night become a musical picture rich in emotions, where viewers experience many different levels through each artistic personality.

The 15 contestants in the final night created 15 distinct colors, contributing to completing the multi-colored picture of "Hanoi Singing 2025."

The Final Night gathered 9 judges, all of whom are leading prestigious artists and experts: People's Artist Quang Vinh - Chairman of the Hanoi Music Association; Doctor, Journalist Phuong Dong; Major General, Musician Duc Trinh - Chairman of the Vietnam Musicians Association; Doctor, People's Artist Quoc Hung - Director of the Vietnam National Academy of Music; People's Artist Ha Thuy; People's Artist Mai Hoa - Deputy Head of the New Music Troupe, Department of Literature, Arts and Music, Voice of Vietnam ; People's Artist Tan Minh - Director of the Thang Long Music and Dance Theater; Meritorious Artist Dang Duong - Head of the New Music Troupe, Department of Literature, Arts and Music, Voice of Vietnam; Doctor, singer Anh Tho - Vocal Lecturer, Vietnam National Academy of Music.

During the final ranking and awarding night, the Organizing Committee donated 100 million VND to the Hanoi Radio Charity account to spread the spirit of mutual love, care and sharing to compatriots who suffered much pain and loss due to natural disasters, promoting the fine traditions of the Vietnamese people./.
