The program was performed on the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20), produced by the Vocal Music Department (Vietnam National Academy of Music), performed by Vang Son Mot Thuo, under the artistic direction of Dr. People's Artist Do Quoc Hung. Dr. Meritorious Artist Tan Nhan was the general director and Master Nguyen Thi Bich Hong was the production director.

Professor, People's Artist Trung Kien (1939-2021) is one of the leading tenor voices of Vietnamese vocal music and also has great contributions in training artists and singers of Vietnamese vocal music.
People's Artist Trung Kien possesses a rare, bright, resonant tenor voice, combining standard singing techniques with emotions and a dignified, elegant performance style. People's Artist Trung Kien's voice is associated with revolutionary songs such as "The Country is Full of Joy", "Love Song", "Meeting on the Top of Truong Son", "Hello Heroic Ma River", "Gifts of the Month for Him", "Truong Son Song", " Ho Chi Minh , the Most Beautiful Name"...
Not only a famous singer and a prestigious teacher, People's Artist Trung Kien also participates in management activities, holding the position of Deputy Minister of Culture and Information (now the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism).
Along with his performing career, Professor and People's Artist Trung Kien is also one of Vietnam's leading vocal pedagogues, who has made great contributions to training and nurturing generations of professional singers. As a vocal instructor, he is always dedicated, serious and approachable, inspiring in his students a passion for art, a spirit of learning and a high sense of professionalism. He has guided many students who later grew up and became leading artists of the Vietnamese music industry such as: People's Artist Quoc Hung, Meritorious Artist Dang Duong, Meritorious Artist Lan Anh, Meritorious Artist Tan Nhan, Anh Tho, Trong Tan, Le Anh Dung...

Professor, People's Artist Trung Kien is also the one who laid the foundation for the formalization and modernization of Vietnamese vocal training. He directly compiled, edited and standardized the vocal curriculum system, built training programs from intermediate, university to graduate and doctoral levels, bringing Vietnamese vocal teaching closer to international standards, while maintaining the identity and intonation of Vietnamese in the art of singing.
Introducing the program “Loi ca con mai” at the press conference on December 7, Dr. People's Artist Quoc Hung, Director of the Vietnam National Academy of Music, said that Prof. People's Artist Trung Kien was a great singer, a great teacher, an exemplary artist, who devoted his whole life to music and to the training career. The legacy he left behind is pride, a lesson in the virtue - talent - heart - will of a great artist and intellectual, who has made an important contribution to the development of contemporary Vietnamese vocal art.
“The special art program “Loi ca con mai” is a deep gratitude from the Vietnam National Academy of Music and generations of students to Professor, People's Artist Trung Kien. The program is also an affirmation that we are continuing and promoting the flow and musical heritage that he left behind, continuing to develop the field of Vietnamese vocal training to new heights,” People's Artist Quoc Hung emphasized.

“The Everlasting Lyrics” consists of three parts: “The Origin of Academic Vocal Music”, “The Revolutionary Music Stream” and “Romantic and Contemporary Music”. The program will outline the career and dedication of Professor, People’s Artist Trung Kien to the country’s music and his role as an “architect” in teaching and training vocal music in Vietnam, while also showing the continuation of the musical legacy of the famous teacher and artist.
Dr. Meritorious Artist Tan Nhan, Head of the Vocal Music Department and General Director of the program, said: “Each performance in the program is like a chapter in a musical memoir honoring Professor and People's Artist Trung Kien. The program recalls and affirms that the artistic path that Professor and People's Artist Trung Kien chose is a pioneering and correct path, laying a solid foundation for the country's professional vocal music industry.”
In particular, “Loi ca con mai” brings together leading Vietnamese artists, including excellent students of Professor and People's Artist Trung Kien such as: People's Artist Quang Tho, People's Artist Quoc Hung, Meritorious Artist Dang Duong, Meritorious Artist Lan Anh, Meritorious Artist Tan Nhan, Meritorious Artist Phuong Nga, Meritorious Artist Phuong Uyen... and singers Trong Tan, Anh Tho, Bich Thuy (returning from Austria), Bich Hong, Phuc Tiep, Le Anh Dung, Nguyen Vu, Khanh Ly, Quang Tu, Manh Hoach, Thu Hang, Huong Ly, Minh Tuyen, Thang Long...
Also participating in the music night were pianists: Meritorious Artist Trinh Minh Trang, Bui Dang Khanh, Nguyen Le Thuyen Ha, Nguyen Thanh Giang...
In addition to the art performances, the program also brings valuable documentary footage, recreating the image of Professor, People's Artist Trung Kien - a simple, dedicated teacher, always devoted to art and students.
