On November 7, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, after considering the proposal of the Central Inspection Committee on disciplining violating Party members, the Secretariat found that Mr. Cao Tien Dung, former Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, Director of the Department of Planning and Investment of Dong Nai province; Nguyen Quoc Hung, former Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Tan Chan, former Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the Tay Hoa District People's Committee, former Phu Yen province (now Dak Lak province); had degraded in political ideology, ethics, and lifestyle; violated Party regulations and State laws in performing assigned duties and tasks.

At the same time, the Secretariat also found that these officials violated regulations on what party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example, causing very serious consequences, public outrage, and very negative impacts on the reputation of the party organization and the agency or unit they work for.
Based on the content, nature, level, consequences, and causes of the violations; based on the Party's regulations on disciplining violating Party members, the Secretariat decided to expel Cao Tien Dung, Nguyen Quoc Hung, and Nguyen Tan Chan from the Party.
The Secretariat requested competent authorities to promptly enforce administrative discipline in line with party discipline.
