From November 5 to 10, 2025, the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE 2025) took place in Shanghai, China. With the theme "New Era, Shared Future", CIIE 2025 had the participation of over 4,100 exhibitors from 155 countries, regions and international organizations, with a total exhibition area of over 430,000 m2, setting a new record in terms of scale and number of participating units.

The delegation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade led by Deputy Minister Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan attended the Opening Ceremony of the Hongqiao International Economic Fair and Forum.

Implementing the National Program on Trade Promotion 2025, the Ministry of Industry and Trade organized a Vietnamese business delegation to participate in the CIIE 2025 Fair.

The Vietnam national pavilion has an area of 132 square meters, focusing on introducing and promoting information, achievements and economic potential, promoting investment, trade and tourism of Vietnam.

Next to the National Pavilion is the Commercial Pavilion of Vietnamese enterprises with a total exhibition area of 600m2 of 50 enterprises specializing in food and processed agricultural products with good export capacity and prestigious, quality brands of Vietnam: TH True Milk, Trung Nguyen Coffee, Quang Ngai Sugar Joint Stock Company, Thanh Ha Fish Sauce Processing Seafood Exploitation Company Limited, Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association, Dong Nai Province Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center...

Within the framework of the Fair, with the goal of opening the market to the world, creating opportunities for Vietnamese enterprises to access the large Chinese market, not only through direct export but also seeking online export opportunities through cross-border e-commerce, the Ministry of Industry and Trade cooperated with the Douyin E-commerce platform to organize a Mega Livestream session on the Douyin platform at the Vietnam Pavilion to promote and sell typical Vietnamese products to widely reach Chinese users through e-commerce solutions.

CIIE is a national-level fair jointly organized by the Ministry of Commerce of China, the Shanghai Municipal People's Government and the China International Import Expo Bureau. The fair is an initiative of General Secretary and President Xi Jinping of China to promote the construction of an open world economy and contribute to economic globalization. Since its first holding in 2018, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council of China have attached great importance to this fair.

Vietnam's participation in the annual CIIE Fair not only contributes to promoting the national image in terms of economy, investment and tourism, but is also a good opportunity to increase official and sustainable exports to the Chinese market, promote the brand and image of Vietnamese enterprises to China and other countries in the world, in order to attract foreign investment, creating conditions for Vietnamese enterprises to seek markets and expand business.
