OCOP products are evaluated annually by local authorities. From 2020 to the present , Lai Chau province has 226 OCOP products with 3 stars or higher from 115 entities that are still valid, including 214 products achieving 3 stars and 12 products achieving 4 stars.
The main products fall into the food group (195 products), alcoholic beverages (18 products), along with handicrafts, medicinal herbs, and community tourism . The OCOP program has spread to 22 out of 38 communes and wards, accounting for 57.9%, with the participation of 17 enterprises, 45 cooperatives, and 50 business households.

After receiving certification, many products received investment for upgrading their scale, innovating packaging, diversifying designs, and adapting to consumer tastes. Emphasis was placed on promotion and brand building, resulting in an average revenue increase of over 10%, with some units seeing increases of up to 20%. Notable product groups include smoked meat, cordyceps, medicinal herbs, and specialty rice.

According to a representative from the Lai Chau Provincial Department of Agriculture and Environment, the province will continue to support OCOP (One Commune One Product) businesses in applying clean production processes, traceability, and linking product development with environmental protection and green consumption. At the same time, it will encourage the application of digital technology and e-commerce to promote and expand consumer markets.
These results and directions affirm Lai Chau's efforts in developing OCOP products associated with green and sustainable agriculture, creating momentum to promote stable and effective rural economic development.
