OCOP products are standards assessed annually by localities. From 2020 to now, Lai Chau province has 226 OCOP products with 3 stars or more from 115 entities with valid terms, of which 214 products have achieved 3 stars and 12 products have achieved 4 stars.
The main products are food (195 products), alcoholic beverages (18 products), handicrafts, medicinal herbs and community tourism . The OCOP program has spread to 22/38 communes and wards, accounting for 57.9%, with the participation of 17 enterprises, 45 cooperatives and 50 business households.

After being certified, many products have been invested in upgrading their scale, innovating their packaging, diversifying their designs, and adapting to consumer tastes. Promotion and brand building have been focused on, helping the average revenue of products increase by over 10%, with some units increasing by up to 20%. Notable product groups include smoked meat, cordyceps, medicinal herbs, and specialty rice.

According to a representative of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Lai Chau province, in the coming time, the province will continue to support OCOP entities in applying clean production processes, tracing origins, linking product development with environmental protection and green consumption. At the same time, it will encourage the application of digital technology and e-commerce to promote and expand the consumer market.
These results and orientations affirm Lai Chau's efforts in developing OCOP products associated with green and sustainable agriculture, creating a driving force to promote stable and effective rural economic development.
