On the morning of November 5, the 14th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee opened in Hanoi .
In the morning, the Party Central Committee worked in the Hall. General Secretary To Lam delivered the opening speech at the Conference. Politburo member and President Luong Cuong chaired the Conference on behalf of the Politburo. The Central Committee carried out the process of introducing personnel to join the Politburo and Secretariat of the 14th tenure (both re-election and first-time participation).
In the afternoon, the Central Committee continued to carry out the contents of personnel work:
Agreed to let comrade Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Politburo member, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, Chairman of the 13th Central Inspection Committee , stop participating in the Central Inspection Committee and stop holding the position of Chairman of the 13th Central Inspection Committee (to focus on the new tasks assigned by the Politburo).
Carry out the process of introducing personnel for a number of positions: Vice Chairman of the 15th National Assembly, Chairman of the 13th Central Inspection Committee and Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court for the 2021-2026 term so that the Politburo can decide to introduce the Party Central Committee to elect the Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee and the 10th Session of the 15th National Assembly to elect according to regulations.
Elect comrade Tran Sy Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee to join the Central Inspection Committee and hold the position of Chairman of the 13th Central Inspection Committee.
Introducing the personnel of the Presidium, Secretariat, and Qualification Examination Board of the 14th National Congress of the Party.
