Increasing the water discharge flow through Don Duong spillway, warning downstream areas

According to data recorded at 9:00 a.m. on November 6, the water level of Don Duong Lake reached 1,039m; the machine flow rate was 36.7m³/s, the water flow to the lake was 69.4m³/s, and the spillway flow rate was 20m³/s.

Implementing the direction of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Lam Dong province on operating the Don Duong hydropower reservoir at the lowest flood water level, Da Nhim - Ham Thuan - Da Mi Hydropower Joint Stock Company decided to increase the regulated discharge flow through the spillway from 20m³/s to 50m³/s, starting from 10:00 a.m. on November 6, 2025.

The discharge flow will be flexibly adjusted depending on the actual water volume flowing into Don Duong Lake in the coming hours, to ensure safety for the project and downstream areas.

The Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of the DHĐ Company respectfully requests the People's Committees of communes along the downstream of Don Duong Lake to coordinate in implementation.

The adjustment of discharge flow is carried out to ensure safe operation of the reservoir under current hydrological conditions. Local authorities and people in the downstream area are advised to closely monitor water levels and proactively implement preventive measures to ensure safety of life and property.
