The year 2025 marks an important turning point in the development process of the new Lam Dong province, after the merger of the three provinces of Lam Dong - Dak Nong - Binh Thuan. With a large area, diverse terrain, temperate climate, rich ecosystem and valuable indigenous culture, Lam Dong has favorable conditions to become a tourist center of the Central Highlands and South Central Coast.

With such great potential, Lam Dong aims to develop high-quality tourism, becoming a spearhead economic sector in a green, sustainable and responsible direction.


Speaking at the program, Mr. Nguyen Van Loc, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said that the Malaysian tourist market has been and is one of the 10 key international tourist markets of Lam Dong.

Expanding international cooperation - especially with key markets like Malaysia - is identified as one of the important tasks to improve quality, diversify products and promote Lam Dong tourism brand to regional friends.

Lam Dong businesses are gradually building a tourism ecosystem that meets the needs of the Halal market. The connection between the two sides today is a practical step to turn potential into concrete cooperation opportunities.

Meanwhile, Mr. Fathir Badri Alhadad, Chairman of the Malaysian Association of Travel and Tourism, said Malaysia is one of the world's leading countries in Halal tourism, with experience in managing and developing high-quality Halal products and services.


Mr. Fathir Badri Alhadad said that this visit to Lam Dong is an invaluable platform to learn, exchange innovative ideas and establish meaningful relationships in the tourism industry.

Memorandums of understanding were also signed, moving towards the formation of specific Halal tourism products, suitable to the tastes of Malaysian tourists in the near future.
