Gia Lai: Rescue 3 people isolated in floodwaters

On the morning of November 7, Ia Hiao Commune Police (Gia Lai Province) coordinated with functional forces to promptly and successfully rescue 3 people isolated in floodwaters in So Ma Hang B village.

The three people rescued were: Pham Cong Trinh (born 1992, Gia Lai ), Tran Ba ​​Sung (born 1992, Hai Phong) and Hoang Van Thieng (born 1971, Gia Lai).

The three had been visiting relatives and staying overnight at a hut in the village. At around 1am, the floodwaters rose suddenly, completely isolating the area, leaving them stranded in the middle of the water.

Bringing isolated people to safety

Receiving information from local people at dawn, the commune police force organized an emergency rescue, used boats to approach the scene and brought all three people safely to shore at 6:30 am.

Mr. Hoang Van Thieng shared that when the floodwaters rose, he and everyone else were very scared. Only when the rescue team arrived did they feel reassured. He expressed his thanks to the police and local authorities for their timely response.
