Political Commissar of Military Region 5 visits and encourages people affected by storm No. 13

(Chinhphu.vn) - On the morning of November 8, the working delegation of Military Region 5 led by Major General Luong Dinh Chung, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of the Military Region, visited and encouraged households that suffered heavy damage due to storm No. 13 in Dak Lak province.

Major General Luong Dinh Chung, Political Commissar of the Military Region, presented gifts to encourage the family of Mr. Lam Bao Lap (Thach Khe village, Xuan Loc commune, Dak Lak province) whose house suffered heavy damage after storm No. 13.

The recent storm has left many losses and sorrows for the people here. Many houses collapsed, properties were swept away, and some families lost loved ones.

In Xuan Loc commune, which suffered heavy damage after storm No. 13, Major General Luong Dinh Chung visited and expressed his condolences to the family of Mr. Tran Van Sy (Chanh Loc village) whose relative was unfortunately swept away by floodwaters. The Political Commissar of Military Region 5 encouraged, shared and gave financial support, hoping that the family would soon overcome the difficulties.

Visiting the family of Mr. Lam Bao Lap (Thach Khe village), whose house was severely damaged, Major General Luong Dinh Chung and leaders of the Dak Lak Provincial Military Command kindly visited, gave gifts and part of the funding to support the family to repair and rebuild their house, and soon stabilize their lives.

On the same day, the working delegation inspected and encouraged the armed forces of Dak Lak province and the Regional Defense Command (PTKV) 1 - Song Cau who are working day and night to overcome the consequences of the storm, helping people clean up houses and schools, and restore roads.

Earlier on the afternoon of November 7, Major General Luong Dinh Chung and a delegation from Military Region 5 visited and sympathized with families who lost their lives, were injured, or lost their homes due to storm No. 13 in Gia Lai province.

The delegation also visited, inspected and encouraged the forces of Division 2 who are supporting Gia Lai Provincial General Hospital and the forces of PTKV 6 Command - An Nhon Dong who are helping 2/9 Kindergarten overcome damage and clean up classrooms so that students can return to school soon.

At each destination, the Political Commissar sent his regards and encouragement, hoping that the people would maintain their spirits and soon stabilize their lives. At the same time, he requested local Party committees, authorities and armed forces to continue to pay attention, support and coordinate in organizing thoughtful funerals for the victims.

With the spirit of "mutual love", "helping each other" and with the responsibility of Uncle Ho's soldiers, Major General Luong Dinh Chung requested the officers and soldiers of the Military Region to continue promoting the spirit of volunteerism, urgently helping localities and people overcome the consequences of storm No. 13 and floods, so that people can soon stabilize their lives and students can soon return to school in safe conditions.
