Delegates performed the ceremony of attaching the plaque "Welcoming the 14th National Party Congress" to the base of the Central Technology Platform (CPP) - Gas field development project of Block B & 48/95 and Block 52/97
Attending the ceremony were Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Tran Luu Quang and Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Le Quoc Phong.
On the Petrovietnam side, there were Chairman of the Board of Directors Le Manh Hung; Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Group's Party Committee Tran Quang Dung...
In phase 1A of the Block B&48/95 and Block 52/97 gas field development project, the main construction items deployed include: 1 central technology platform (CPP); 1 housing platform (LQ); 1 flare tower (Flare Tower); a bridge system connecting the CPP platform with the LQ platform, the wellhead platform (AQWA) and the flare platform; 1 wellhead platform (WHP); 3 gathering platforms (HUB) and 1 condensate storage and export vessel (FSO) to receive condensate from the CPP platform, store and export to oil tankers. These projects form a synchronous complex, ensuring the ability to collect, process and transport gas from Block B field to shore, serving the gas power plants of the O Mon Power Center.
The Central Technology Platform (CPP) Topside Base Project - a project with a welcome sign for the 14th National Party Congress - is a particularly important project in the overall project. The project has a base weight of about 7,400 tons and piles of about 5,700 tons, manufactured at PTSC M&C - a member unit of Vietnam Oil and Gas Technical Services Corporation ( PTSC ). The total value of the project is about 3,300 billion VND, mobilizing nearly 1,000 engineers and workers directly involved in the construction throughout the manufacturing process.

Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Tran Luu Quang visited the PTSC Technical Logistics Service Center, where items belonging to the upstream component of the Block B gas field development project are being constructed and manufactured.
The project investor is Petrovietnam Branch - Phu Quoc Petroleum Operating Company (PQPOC). The site for installing the jacket is located in the Block B&48/95 and Block 52/97 fields, in the southwestern sea of Vietnam. Up to now, the project has completed the onshore fabrication of the entire jacket and four piles, ensuring technical standards, safety and quality according to international standards.
Offshore launching, transportation and installation work are being urgently prepared, expected to be completed in November 2025. The on-schedule completion of the project not only marks an important milestone in the journey of implementing the Block B Gas Project, but also demonstrates the capacity, spirit of overcoming difficulties and determination of Petrovietnam and its member units in implementing the national key energy project.
The Block B - O Mon gas - power project chain is a national key project, with a total investment of nearly 12 billion USD, including three components: Upstream: Development of Block B & 48/95 and Block 52/97 gas fields offshore Southwest Vietnam, about 220 km from shore, water depth of about 77 m; midstream: Block B - O Mon gas pipeline system, 431 km long; downstream: Complex of four O Mon I-IV gas power plants with a total capacity of about 3,800 MW.

Central Processing Platform (CPP) Superstructure Base Project
The Block B - O Mon project has comprehensive strategic significance for Vietnam's energy security, economic development and green transformation. Upon completion, the project will significantly replace FO oil power with natural gas power, contributing to reducing CO2 emissions, ensuring the Net Zero target by 2050, while creating momentum for infrastructure development, industry and employment in the Southwest region.
The Block B - O Mon Project Chain is a testament to Petrovietnam's mastery in the energy value chain, from exploration - exploitation, manufacturing - transportation to power generation, demonstrating the Group's core role in implementing Resolution 55-NQ/TW and Power Plan VIII.
The installation of the "Welcoming the 14th National Party Congress" plaque for the CPP Block B Platform Base is a worthy recognition for the outstanding efforts of Petrovietnam and all employees, and at the same time a strong source of encouragement to further motivate the collectives to continue to exceed the schedule, ensuring the first gas flow (First Gas) from Block B by the end of 2027, contributing to realizing the goal of "Pioneering - Excellence - Sustainability - Global" that Petrovietnam is aiming for.
