In 2002, receiving a scholarship from the French Government, Ms. Oanh Kim Vu began studying abroad at CERAM Sophia Antipolis (now SKEMA Business School) in the field of "International Business and Tourism, Conferences and Seminars". This experience opened up the opportunity for her to pursue a career in French education .
After graduating, she was invited to manage one of the English-taught MBA programs at the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers (CNAM) - a long-standing public university in France. That turning point opened the "door" to her international education career. "I held the position of Dean of the MBA department for 14 years and 8 years as international cooperation manager. What kept me here was the opportunity to interact and learn from colleagues and students from all over the world, with diverse experiences and cultures every day," Dr. Oanh Kim Vu recalled.

For her, the path to international education was not paved with roses. In the early days at CNAM, her biggest challenge was French. Her main foreign language at that time was English, so French was only enough for minimal communication. She worked and studied at the same time, using smiles and body language to integrate, gradually becoming a familiar face among the school's tens of thousands of students and staff. Another challenge was realizing the "mountain of ideas" from international colleagues. This was both difficult and a motivation for her to find ways to realize as many ideas as possible, then pass on her experience to the younger generation.
"Young Vietnamese women should learn how to communicate, boldly express themselves and together contribute to creating value in life."
Dr. Oanh Kim Vu , Head of International Cooperation Development, Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers University (France)
In 2020, in the context of the complicated developments of the Covid-19 pandemic, she successfully defended her doctoral thesis in education online. After successfully defending her doctoral thesis, she cherished the idea of building a global platform to help entrepreneurs and managers develop soft skills. According to her, she must experience it herself before passing it on to others. Many years of dedicated research and work in a multicultural environment have helped her practice analytical thinking, finding connections between seemingly disparate pieces of information. She realized that every person we meet, even if only briefly, contributes to creating connections in life.
As an international cooperation development manager, she regularly works with lecturers and students from more than 50 countries. Each project is an opportunity for her to introduce Vietnam, from culture, language, economy to practical experiences. Passionate about cultural tourism, she often takes international colleagues to visit Vietnam, introducing them to famous landscapes, traditional crafts, and customs of the regions. Because she believes that Vietnamese identity and intelligence are a special "color" in the diverse cultural picture of humanity.
