The spectacular beauty of Ban Gioc waterfall
Like a majestic ink painting in the middle of the mountainous region, Cao Bang province possesses a diverse landscape with mountains, green forests, a rich cave system and villages that still preserve traditional lifestyles. With more than 90 relics, scenic spots and the title of Non Nuoc Cao Bang Global Geopark, the province is setting a big goal: to make tourism a key economic sector in the coming time.
Names like Ban Gioc Waterfall, Pac Bo Cave - Lenin Stream... are becoming more and more familiar on the Vietnamese tourism map. However, international visitors still cannot hide their amazement at the wild beauty of this land.

Daniel Jones, a tourist from Australia, could not hide his surprise, commenting that Cao Bang was a "wonderful, peaceful, wild" place that he did not expect to find in Vietnam.
According to data from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Cao Bang province, in the first 6 months of this year, the province welcomed nearly 1.2 million tourists, an increase of 28.5% over the same period. In particular, the growth rate of international visitors reached nearly 165%. Tourism revenue reached nearly 70% compared to the plan for the whole year of 2024.

With this impressive growth rate of tourists, Cao Bang is quickly becoming a potential destination attracting many investors and travel companies.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hai Nam, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Global International Travel Group Joint Stock Company, highly appreciated the tourism potential of the province, especially the advantages of tourist border gates linked to China. She said that this is a solid foundation for the company to invest long-term in the locality.

Currently, Cao Bang province has over 320 accommodation establishments, of which more than 60 homestays meet standards to serve international guests.
The biggest breakthrough is the 121km Dong Dang – Tra Linh expressway that is gradually taking shape. This route not only helps to significantly shorten travel time, but also opens up the advantage of developing Vietnam – China border tourism – a competitive advantage that few places have.

Mr. Hoang Thai Binh, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Cao Bang province, emphasized the focus on infrastructure investment and speeding up the progress of the expressway. At the same time, the province is promoting the completion of procedures to upgrade the Ta Nung - Thuy Khau and Ly Van - Thac Long border gates to international border gates, in order to create the most favorable conditions for the development of Vietnam - China tourism.
All efforts from landscape advantages, indigenous culture to planning strategies, infrastructure investment and business attraction are creating a solid foundation for Cao Bang tourism to take off, becoming a key economic sector in the near future.
