Báo Đại Đoàn KếtBáo Đại Đoàn Kết21/01/2025

In reality, the more unique and distinctive the local culture, the more memorable the tourist experience. Not only the northern mountainous regions, but also the Central Highlands provinces are becoming interesting destinations during the Lunar New Year and Spring season…

As the Lunar New Year approaches, many valleys in Moc Chau (Son La province) are covered in a "white cloak" of plum blossoms, captivating many visitors. Similarly, plum trees have also bloomed on the "white plateau" of Bac Ha ( Lao Cai ). In the "stone plateau" of Dong Van (Ha Giang), pristine white plum blossoms stand out alongside clusters of delicate pink mountain peach blossoms.

As part of the Lunar New Year celebrations for the Year of the Snake, Lao Cai province will organize low-altitude fireworks displays at two locations in Lao Cai City, along with many meaningful and vibrant cultural activities to create a festive and joyful atmosphere. During Tet, localities in Lao Cai will organize many traditional festivals, cultural and artistic activities, and sports events. Sa Pa town will have a series of events celebrating the Party and the Lunar New Year with many rich and attractive activities such as: the Xoe dance festival of the Tay ethnic group on February 4th (the 7th day of the 1st lunar month) in Muong Bo commune; the Gau Tao festival of the Mong ethnic group on February 8th (the 11th day of the 1st lunar month) in Cat Cat village; the Roong Pooc (Going to the Fields) festival of the Giay ethnic group on February 4th (the 19th day of the 1st lunar month) in Ta Van Giay II village...

According to the Director of the Lao Cai Department of Tourism, Ha Van Thang, the reality shows that the more unique and distinctive the local culture, the more memorable the tourist experience. Therefore, the locality is striving to effectively exploit tourism products from cultural experiences and unique festivals in each locality with the hope of attracting a large number of tourists during the Lunar New Year in 2025, contributing to realizing the goal of welcoming 10 million tourists, including 1.5 million international tourists in 2025.

In Lang Son, Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, said that activities celebrating the Party and the Lunar New Year of the Snake 2025, as well as festivals before, during, and after Tet, have been fully prepared by localities in the province. Highlights include the New Year's Eve art program and the opening night of the Lang Son Peach Blossom Festival 2025 (held from January 17th to February 26th, which is from the 18th day of the 12th lunar month of the Year of the Dragon to the 29th day of the 1st lunar month of the Year of the Snake).

To date, the province has completed the judging of beautiful peach blossom gardens and preliminary selection of beautiful peach blossom trees in districts and cities… In addition, this year's spring festival activities also include the 3rd annual raft racing event on the Ky Cung River in 2025, with the participation of several neighboring provinces; the expanded Lang Son Chau Van performance festival in 2025; the expanded "Flavors and Colors of Lang Son Cuisine" competition in Lang Son City in 2025; and a fair showcasing and introducing OCOP products and specialty products…

Ha Giang province is frequently chosen as an ideal destination by prestigious international travel magazines. The New York Times (USA) has listed Ha Giang among the world's most attractive destinations; the World Travel Awards (WTA) honored Ha Giang as Asia's leading regional cultural destination in 2024… This Tet holiday, Ha Giang continues to be an ideal tourist destination among the northern mountainous provinces, as the Provincial People's Committee is determined to build the Ha Giang tourism brand by 2025 as a safe, attractive, and unique destination.

Like the northern mountainous provinces, the Central Highlands are bustling with the atmosphere of Tet (Lunar New Year). In Mang Den town (Kon Plong district, Kon Tum province), cherry blossoms have begun to bloom, giving the highland town a new look. The weather is cool, with average temperatures of 14-17 degrees Celsius during and after Tet, along with morning fog and gentle sunshine at noon, allowing visitors to freely and comfortably admire the vibrant blossoms.

Cherry blossom trees have been planted by the Kon Plông district authorities in most areas of Măng Đen town and in neighboring areas of Măng Cành commune. Spots with abundant blossoms, attracting tourists, include the central square of Măng Đen town, Đăk Ke Lake, Đam Bri Lake, and along the road leading into the town. In addition, many homestays and accommodation areas have also planted cherry blossom trees, all displaying their vibrant colors.

According to Ms. Hoang To Nga, Deputy Head of the Culture and Information Department of Kon Plong District, this year, the cherry blossoms bloomed about a week earlier than in previous years. Due to the unusually cold temperatures and prolonged cold spell, the flowers are more vibrant and colorful, and the blossoms are larger than in previous years. It is expected that Mang Den will welcome over 10,000 tourists during this year's cherry blossom season.
