The 2026 Hanoi specialized Literature exam is "good and interesting".

On June 1st, nearly 17,000 candidates registered to take the entrance exam for four specialized high schools in Hanoi: Amsterdam, Chu Van An, Nguyen Hue, and Son Tay. In the specialized literature exam, candidates were intrigued by a detail from the Korean drama "Can this love be translated?" which raised the issue of the ability to listen to the "voices" around each person.

As the first candidate to leave the examination hall after the specialized Literature exam on the morning of June 1st at the Hanoi – Amsterdam High School for Gifted Students examination center, Nguyen Hoai Anh said that this year's literature exam was very creative and strongly reflected her personal style. Although she felt the exam questions were very relatable to her age group, Hoai Anh still found it difficult and only felt confident of scoring above 6 points. Hoai Anh registered for the specialized English exam, which is her strength, so she wasn't too stressed about the Literature exam and placed more hope in the specialized English exam.
"If I pass the entrance exam to Hanoi – Amsterdam High School for Gifted Students, the first thing I'll do is check for news about the BTS concert," Hoai Anh excitedly shared.

Mr. Nguyen Hai Duong (Hang Chieu Street, Hanoi), whose child is taking the Literature and English specialized exams at the Hanoi – Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, shared that he and his wife have been taking their child to the exams for three consecutive days. To make travel easier and to avoid traffic jams or unforeseen risks, the family rented accommodation near the school. During the exams, the parents waited near the school gate so that their child could see them immediately upon leaving, which gave them more peace of mind. Although confident in their child's abilities, Mr. Duong said the family doesn't put pressure on academic achievement. According to him, the most important thing is to maintain good health, cultivate good morals, and build knowledge so that the child can become a useful member of society in the future.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Huyen (Hoang Mai ward, Hanoi) said that, due to concerns about traffic congestion at the beginning of the week, her family brought her child to the exam site as early as 6:20 AM. Her child registered to take the entrance exam for the specialized Japanese language class. During the exam preparation period, her child experienced moments of stress and pressure, but with a strong personality, she proactively overcame these challenges to focus on the exam. The family also felt anxious, but always tried to remain calm to avoid adding further pressure on their child.
"My daughter is very confident in her abilities. Initially, I advised her against taking the specialized entrance exam because I was worried about the academic pressure, especially since this environment attracts many talented students with good learning conditions. My family is also just average, so I was afraid she would face a lot of pressure. However, she remained steadfast in her choice and was determined to give it a try," Ms. Huyen shared.

After the final exam of the 2026-2027 high school entrance exam for 10th grade, many parents were present at the exam site to pick up their children.
