Under the influence of the storm and the tropical convergence zone, today the northern and central areas of the East Sea will have waves 3 - 5 m high, and rough seas.

According to the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA), at 4:00 a.m. this morning (November 8), storm Fung Wong was at level 12 with gusts of level 15 and moving at a fast speed of 25 - 35 km/hour towards Luzon Island (Philippines) and continued to increase in strength.

At 4:00 a.m. on November 9, in the sea north of Luzon Island, storm Fung Wong reached its maximum intensity of level 15, gusting over level 17; moving very fast at 35 km/h.

After making landfall on Luzon Island, on the night of November 10 to the morning of November 11, storm Fung Wong will weaken to level 11, gust level 15 and speed will decrease to 30 km/h when entering the northeast of the East Sea and become the 14th storm in 2025.

In the northeastern area of ​​the East Sea, the storm's intensity increased again to level 13 with gusts of level 15. Due to the influence of cold air from the north, the storm turned northwest towards Taiwan.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting (NCHMF), this evening and tonight, November 8, the eastern sea of ​​the northern and central East Sea will have northeast winds gradually increasing to level 6 - 7, gusting to level 8 - 9; rough seas, waves 3 - 5 m high.

The sea area from Ca Mau to An Giang and the Gulf of Thailand has scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes and strong gusts of wind.
