At the meeting, the Prime Minister heard a report on the activities of Yen Khuong Border Guard Station, the lives of people, officers and soldiers, and the situation in the area.
Yen Khuong Commune, Thanh Hoa Province currently has 1,126 households with 5,562 people. This is one of the remote and difficult areas of Thanh Hoa, with difficult transportation.
Yen Khuong Border Guard Station is assigned to manage and protect 7 km of border line and 3 border markers adjacent to Laos. Determining that "The station is home, the border is homeland, ethnic people are blood brothers", over the years, officers and soldiers of Yen Khuong Border Guard Station have implemented "5 together": "Eating together, living together, working together, speaking ethnic languages together and protecting the border together" with local people.

Yen Khuong Border Guard Station has completed all aspects of its work well, firmly protecting sovereignty and border security, regularly paying attention to mass mobilization work, constantly strengthening the bond between the army and the people, building a solid all-people border defense posture in the stationed area, building and maintaining a stable area in terms of political security and social order and safety, thereby creating favorable conditions for economic, cultural and social development.
The commune has nearly 1,000 students. Recently, there was prolonged heavy rain in the area, causing many landslides. The Station coordinated with other forces to quickly overcome the landslides and clear the roads so that students could get to school early.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent his regards and best wishes to the officers and soldiers of Yen Khuong Border Guard Station; commended and highly appreciated the Border Guard Station for completing its tasks well with the spirit of effort, self-reliance and self-reliance; maintaining peace at the border, especially contributing to building a "drug-free commune", participating in local socio-economic development, improving the material and spiritual life of the people.
In the coming time, the Prime Minister requested Yen Khuong Border Guard Station to send cadres to participate in local Party committees according to the policy of the Secretariat; continue to stay close to the people, stay close to the villages, grasp the people's situation, share the hardships with the people, be closely attached, flesh and blood, and stick with the people from the smallest things, with the spirit of "people are the root", further promote the role of the fighting army, the working army, the production labor army, and further enhance the glorious tradition of Uncle Ho's soldiers.

Along with that, play a core role in promoting the cultural identity of ethnic groups, pay attention to and take care of the lives of people, especially promptly eliminate temporary houses and dilapidated houses in cases that arise; research and guide people to develop production and business to promote local potential and advantages and work with people; coordinate with medical stations and schools to participate in developing health and education in the area.
