Hanoi is colorful with 'Ao Dai Dance - Capital's Women Integrate and Develop'

The event is part of the Hanoi Ao Dai Tourism Festival 2025, an activity of the Thang Long - Hanoi Festival 2025, directed by the Hanoi People's Committee. The program is organized to welcome the 18th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Hanoi and the 17th Congress of Hanoi Women's Congress, term 2025-2030.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Le Kim Anh - Member of the City Party Committee, President of the Hanoi Women's Union emphasized: " Ao dai is an indispensable part of the journey to preserve and promote the quintessence of national culture, a costume that honors the beauty, identity and soul of Vietnamese women. Even in the context of strong international integration, ao dai is still a typical cultural symbol, contributing to promoting the image of the country and people of Vietnam to international friends."

Ms. Le Kim Anh - Member of the City Party Committee, President of the Hanoi Women's Union delivered the opening speech of the program.

According to Ms. Le Kim Anh, "Hanoi Ao Dai Month" launched by the City Women's Union since October 1st has received positive responses from a large number of officials, members and women in the capital, contributing to further reviving the love for the traditional ao dai.

With the theme “Ao Dai Dance - Colors of the Capital’s Women”, this year’s program gathered nearly 600 delegates from central ministries, departments and branches; City leaders; Ao Dai designers; models; and all classes of women in the capital - from female civil servants, public employees, workers, students to female migrant workers and families in Hanoi.

The Ao Dai collections presented in the show are full of creativity, honoring traditional cultural values in modern designs. Many prestigious brands and designers participated, such as Do Trinh Hoai Nam, Y Van Hien, Loi Tam, David Le and Huong Beful.

Impressive folk dance performance at the Ao Dai performance program "Women of the Capital - Integration and Development".

The highlight of the program was a folk dance performance by 350 Hanoi women's association members to the songs "For Your Smile" and "Hanoi's Constructions", expressing the dynamic, youthful spirit and aspiration for integration and development of the capital's women in the new era.

Through the messages: "Hanoi - City for Peace ", "Pride of Vietnamese Women's Ao Dai", "Charming Hanoi Ao Dai", the program not only honors the elegant and civilized beauty of the capital's women but also contributes to promoting the image of Hanoi - a city with thousands of years of culture, modernity, friendliness and livability.

The Ao Dai performance program "Capital Women - Integration and Development" in 2025 once again affirms that Ao Dai is not just a costume, but a symbol of culture, of national pride, spreading the message of love and affirming the position of Ao Dai in contemporary life, aiming to make Ao Dai a typical representative cultural heritage of Vietnam.
