After a long period of preparation for the pre-production stages, the project has just officially held a groundbreaking ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City, opening the journey to touch Vietnamese legend - lasting from November 2025 to January 2026.

The work recreates the turbulent moment after 12 years of our country regaining independence, when Emperor Dinh Tien Hoang named the country Dai Co Viet.
The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of BHD production - director Nguyen Phan Quang Binh, action director Johnny Tri Nguyen, director of photography K'Linh, along with a strong crew and actors. People's Artist Tu Long - the second hero and actress Do Thi Hai Yen in the role of Queen Duong, People's Artist Nhu Quynh, actor Hua Vi Van... also appeared at the ceremony, alongside many actors, along with a famous action cast.
However, the producer still keeps the identities of the two main actors of the project secret.

Defined as an action-historical film, Guardian Spirit focuses on the language of martial arts - the power that represents the spirit of warriors and national pride.
Action director Johnny Tri Nguyen and his stunt team spent half a year researching and practicing to create a unique set of martial arts moves, bringing a sense of realism, tragedy and unprecedented on Vietnamese screens. He said that he had never before worked on a project with such a large number of action scenes.

In particular, the film has many fighting scenes using weapons, swords, and sabers. Preparing different types of weapons, from the actors' training to their official appearance on screen, was a huge challenge.
Participating in supporting the action and martial arts parts of the film are many experts: Nguyen Anh Tuan, Diep Quang Binh, Thai Tran, Tran Quang Loc, Nguyen Trong Tuong and two "female warriors" Hien Ngo and Thuy Hien Wushu.
Director of photography K'Linh expressed absolute confidence in the action part of the film because martial arts director Johnny Tri Nguyen had worked hard to research it.

The Heroic Spirit is set at the end of the Dinh Dynasty – when Dinh Tien Hoang passed away and the court fell into crisis. The journey to bring the king's coffin back to the national dragon vein for burial becomes a race of life and death, where loyalty and faith in the country's destiny are tested to the utmost.
Director Nguyen Phan Quang Binh shared that this is not only a legendary story, but also a reminder of the origin where loyalty and chivalry became the strength of the Vietnamese people.

According to the representative of BHD production, making films about history has never been easy. However, if we do not tell them, future generations will forget. With Ho linh trang si - Bi bi mo king Dinh , BHD wishes to open the door of time, returning to a sacred and heroic period of Vietnamese history so that we will not forget, to continue forever the aspiration and love from thousands of years ago...
The film is scheduled to be released on August 28, 2026.
