From November 5-8, 2025, at Nha Trang University, the Ministry of Education and Training, in collaboration with the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, and the Vietnam Fund for Technical Innovation Support (VIFOTEC), will organize the final round of the National Science and Technology Award.
This year, the award attracted 628 entries from 112 universities nationwide, divided into 6 fields: natural sciences; engineering and technology; medical and pharmaceutical sciences; agricultural sciences; social sciences; and humanities.
Following the final round, the Organizing Committee awarded 20 first prizes, 105 second prizes, 153 third prizes, and 252 consolation prizes.
In particular, a group of students from Hong Duc University, including Pham Thi Phuong Thanh, Lo Thi Hien, Bui Thi Ngoc Anh, Bui Thi Thanh Van, and Bui Thi Nhung, under the guidance of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Tu Anh - Deputy Head of the Faculty of Social Sciences , were honored in the field of humanities.
The work "The Image of Women in Vietnamese Folk Songs Viewed from Gender Theory" applies gender theory—a modern approach to literary research—to explore the profound values hidden within the treasure trove of Vietnamese folk songs.
This topic contributes to a renewed perspective on folklore, opening up a more academic and relevant approach, especially in the context of a modern society that increasingly emphasizes gender equality and human values.
The achievements of students at Hong Duc University not only affirm the quality of education at the university but also contribute to spreading the spirit of "learning to create, researching to contribute" within the Vietnamese student community.
