Vietnam Red Cross distributes 3.3 billion VND to people affected by storm No. 13

The Vietnam Red Cross Central Committee decided to deploy emergency relief to support people in Dak Lak, Gia Lai and Quang Ngai provinces, localities that suffered heavy damage caused by storm No. 13 and its aftermath.

Vietnam Red Cross distributes 3.3 billion VND to people affected by storm No. 13

To promptly share the difficulties with people in disaster-stricken areas, the Vietnam Red Cross Central Committee decided to allocate a total value of cash and goods of more than VND 3.3 billion to 3 provinces, including cash and goods: Dak Lak: VND 1.155 billion, 48,000 packs of P&G water purifier powder; Gia Lai: VND 1.71 billion; Quang Ngai: VND 445 million.

The funding is drawn from the Central Association's H2025 relief account opened at the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam ( Vietcombank ) and the aid source of the "Clean drinking water for the community" project sponsored by Procter & Gamble Company (P&G) through the Americares organization.

The initial damage estimate due to storm No. 13 and its circulation is 7,846.35 billion VND, an increase of 40.5 billion VND compared to the afternoon of November 9, of which Quang Ngai has 306.65 billion VND, Gia Lai 5,209 billion VND, Dak Lak 2,299 billion VND, Lam Dong 31.7 billion VND.
