Agribank branches in the province promote digital transformation to meet customer needs.
Agribank's convenient products and services on digital platforms have made it much more convenient for customers in rural, remote and isolated areas. Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien in Linh Son commune said: "Not only transferring and sending money, with Agribank's services, I can also shop, book bus tickets, book medical examinations, transfer tuition fees for my children... at any time, without having to travel."
Along with business activities, Agribank branches in the province always focus on expanding non-cash payment methods, especially in rural, mountainous, remote and isolated areas. As of early October 2025, the bank has built a technical infrastructure including 2 mobile transaction points using specialized cars, more than 70 ATMs and nearly 20 Agribank Digital (CDM) machines, more than 500 POS machines. This model helps customers perform most basic transactions locally, reducing costs and travel time, while creating conditions for customers with limited access to technology to still benefit from digital banking.
Agribank branches in Thanh Hoa province have truly affirmed the position of a State-owned commercial bank with a key role in leading the financial and monetary market, effectively implementing the socio -economic development policies of the Party, the State and the province. E-banking and digital banking services are regularly invested and upgraded by Agribank branches to meet the increasing transaction needs of customers at the end of the year. Thousands of business households, grocery stores and cooperatives in the province have been granted VietQR codes, allowing 24/7 payments at low costs, with no limit on the number of transactions per day. This helps change people's cash consumption habits and contributes to the province's common goal of promoting e-commerce and financial inclusion. A notable point is the direct way of working, side by side with the people of Agribank branches. Instead of just introducing products through media channels, banks have sent staff to each household and business to guide them in installing the application and experiencing the service. The "hand-holding" helps customers feel secure, gradually forming the habit of digital transactions. It is the human factor combined with modern technology that has created the difference and sustainability in digital transformation at the local level.
Ms. Quach Thi Mai in Ngoc Lien commune said: “I was supported by Agribank Ngoc Lac staff to install the bank's application on my phone, and also helped me set up an account, fingerprint and facial biometrics, and especially carefully instructed on how to use electronic banking. Now I have mastered all electronic banking transactions. With these applications, people in rural areas like us who want to make payments or transfer money just need a smartphone to do it, no longer have to drive to the bank dozens of kilometers away from home.”
Banks also arrange staff to work on hotlines to receive information and be ready to support when necessary. In addition, when problems arise, customers can contact Agribank's 24/7 support center for timely support. Electronic banking services such as Agribank E-Mobile Banking and Agribank Internet Banking are always available 24/7 to serve customers with money transfers, bill payments, phone top-ups, airline ticket purchases, savings deposits, QR Code payments, remittances, and New Year's lucky money.
Applying technology, promoting digital transformation, the products and services of Agribank branches have increasingly met the needs of customers, improved operational efficiency and contributed to increasing the rate of cashless payments. Thereby, accompanying the banking industry to effectively implement the national digital transformation program until 2025, with a vision to 2030 of the Government.
