Impressive opening ceremony of "Thang Long - Hanoi Festival 2025"

On the evening of November 7, the opening ceremony of "Thang Long - Hanoi Festival 2025" took place at Thang Long Imperial Citadel with special artistic performances by nearly 1,000 actors.

“Thang Long - Hanoi Festival” is a large-scale annual cultural event organized by the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports under the direction of the Hanoi Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.

Central and Hanoi city leaders performed the opening ceremony of "Festival Thang Long - Hanoi 2025".

Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha delivered the opening speech of the program.

Hanoi, with its thousand-year history, has carved out a rich “Heritage City”, where quintessential heritage values ​​contribute significantly to shaping the cultural identity of Hanoi people.

The theme “Heritage - Connection - Era” expresses the aspiration to gradually build a unique and creative Hanoi cultural brand on the foundation of traditional cultural values ​​of the nation; aiming for the position of “Capital connecting heritage” through promoting the value of cultural heritage and the position of “Creative City” of UNESCO.

The opening ceremony is structured into three major chapters, each of which is a profound interpretation of the common theme. It is an artistic arrangement that fully conveys the message of exchange and development based on traditional foundations.

The opening chapter focuses on honoring and recreating the core, long-standing values ​​of Vietnamese culture.

Chapter II: Connection - Convergence and inter-regional exchange, meaning the convergence and cultural exchange from the three ancient capitals and typical cultural regions of Vietnam, demonstrating the "connection" in terms of space and region.

Chapter III: The era – New vitality of heritage, towards the future and creative aspirations of the Capital. The element of “era” here is not only advanced stage techniques, but also the solution to the problem of promoting heritage, preserving cultural identity to create economic values ​​and is the focus to build a cultural industry for the Capital Hanoi.

The opening ceremony's organizing committee mobilized nearly 1,000 professional actors from leading units such as Thang Long Puppetry Theatre and Hanoi Cheo Theatre, along with the participation of ward and commune artisans.
