On the afternoon of November 7, Le Courrier du Vietnam newspaper, under the Vietnam News Agency (VNA), held the award ceremony for the 10th "Young Francophone Reporters" Contest.
Attending the ceremony were Mr. Edgar Doerig, Chief Representative of the Asia- Pacific region of the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF); Mr. Pierre Du Ville, President of the Group of Francophone Ambassadors in Vietnam, Head of the Wallonie-Bruxelles Delegation in Vietnam; Ms. Cristina Romila, Ambassador of Romania to Vietnam; Mr. Thomas Gass, Ambassador of Switzerland to Vietnam; Ms. Doan Thi Tuyet Nhung, Deputy General Director of VNA; Ms. Nguyen Hong Nga, Editor-in-Chief of Le Courrier du Vietnam newspaper.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Edgar Doerig, Chief Representative of the Asia-Pacific region of the International Organization of La Francophonie, highly appreciated the 10-year journey of the award organized by Le Courrier du Vietnam Newspaper with the support of the OIF Office and the Group of Francophone Embassies, Delegations and Organizations (GADIF) in Hanoi .
The theme of this year's contest clearly demonstrates the spirit of promoting the role of education in forming responsible citizens, equipped with knowledge and skills to proactively respond to the challenges of the times. Mr. Edgar Doerig expressed his impression of the remarkable development of this year's contest, not only in the record number of contestants and entries but also in the quality of content, creativity and depth of thinking of the works. According to him, the geographical diversity of contestants not only comes from the three regions of Vietnam but also from Francophone countries such as Congo and Benin. This is a testament to the strong influence of the contest in the international Francophone community.
Mr. Edgar Doerig said that through many programs, projects and activities, OIF always strives to promote quality education in French, while supporting teachers and expanding learning and development opportunities for young people in the Francophone space.

Deputy Director General of VNA Doan Thi Tuyet Nhung emphasized that the contest has become a prestigious playground for young people who love French in Vietnam and the region. This is not only a place to demonstrate the ability to write and tell stories in French, the contest also contributes to spreading humanistic values, civic responsibility and the desire to act for the community. This is the core value that has helped the award leave its mark in the Francophone community over the past 10 years.

Ms. Nguyen Hong Nga, Editor-in-Chief of Le Courrier du Vietnam newspaper, said that 10 years of commitment, passion, meetings and stories have been told by young French speakers from all over the world. Starting as a media initiative, the contest has become a prestigious playground for young French speakers, creating a launching pad for creative young talents, a place for the French language to be developed, told and shared. She expressed her impression of the diversity in perspectives, creativity and depth of thinking of the contestants, expressed through their articles, and said that these are the people who keep the fire of the French language, the storytellers of a world moving with a spirit of solidarity and a desire for action.
The organizers awarded 14 prizes - the highest number ever - to honor the creativity, diversity and positive energy of the young Francophone generation.

First Prize went to two contestants Nguyen Vu Linh and Trinh Duc Anh (Foreign Trade University) with the work "Shape of Sound: From Perception to Humanistic Values".
Second prize went to contestants Nguyen Thi Khanh Huyen and Phung Dieu Linh (University of Foreign Languages - Vietnam National University, Hanoi) with the work: "Toa: Youth shines with ethnic minorities".
Third prize, also the prize of the French Embassy, went to contestants Nguyen Ngoc Thao Phuong, Vu Thai Hoang, and Pham Nguyen Khanh Hoa (Hanoi University) with the work "Education: The key to the future for middle-aged women".
In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded 2 Encouragement prizes and many other prizes, such as: Prize of the President of the group of ambassadors, delegations and Francophone organizations in Hanoi; Prize of USTH University, Public Prize, Prize of the Embassy of Morocco, Dynamic Candidate Prize, Impressive Candidate Prize, Prize of the Francophone University Organization - AUF, Prize of Phenikaa University.
