Mr. Edgar Doerig, Asia-Pacific Representative of the International Organization of La Francophonie, emphasized the special significance of the event celebrating 10 consecutive years of an inspirational playground initiated by Le Courrier du Vietnam Newspaper with the support of the OIF Office and the Group of Francophone Embassies, Delegations and Organizations (GADIF) in Hanoi.
This year's theme, "Learning and Acting", is also the theme of the International Francophonie Day 2025, clearly demonstrating the spirit of promoting the role of education in forming responsible citizens, equipped with knowledge and skills to proactively respond to the challenges of the times.
Through its many programs, projects and activities, OIF strives to promote quality education in French, while supporting teachers and expanding learning and development opportunities for young people in the Francophone space. Core values such as academic exchange, employment, entrepreneurship and innovation continue to be the focus of OIF initiatives in more than 90 member, associate and observer countries worldwide.

Looking back on the decade-long journey of the competition, Mr. Edgar Doerig said that this was also the last time he attended the event during his tenure in Vietnam. He highly appreciated the remarkable development of this year's competition, not only in the record number of contestants and entries but also in the quality of content, creativity and depth of thought of the works. According to him, the geographical diversity of contestants not only came from the three regions of Vietnam but also from Francophone countries such as Congo and Benin. This is a testament to the strong influence of the competition in the international Francophone community.
Mr. Pierre Du Ville, President of the Group of Francophone Ambassadors in Vietnam, Head of the Wallonie-Bruxelles Delegation in Vietnam, said that this is one of the most impressive seasons in the past three years. The jury encountered many difficulties in the selection process because the works all demonstrated good quality, diverse and creative approaches. The jury had to consider adjusting the evaluation scale, deciding to add a number of awards to properly recognize the efforts and talents of the contestants. Awarding awards to young writers is a beautiful mission, showing respect for the efforts, talents and dedication of the young generation in preserving and developing the French language, while spreading the core values of the Francophone community such as cultural diversity, solidarity and international integration.
The "Young Francophone Reporters" contest has been held annually since 2016. With the theme "Learning and Action", this year's contest recorded a record 155 entries from 236 contestants from all three regions of Vietnam and many French-speaking countries. The diversity of topics and expressions in the works vividly portrayed the role of education in forming responsible citizens, promoting the spirit of humanity, and arousing the desire to contribute to the community.
