Presenting a report on the content related to the preparation work for the 18th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Hanoi City, term 2025 - 2030, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City Bui Huyen Mai said that with the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Responsibility - Creativity - Development", the Congress determined to continue promoting the strength of great national unity, the core political role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; arousing the spirit of patriotism, the aspiration to contribute, building a civilized, modern capital, and happy people.
The Congress set out three general goals and eight specific goals. The three general goals are: Strongly innovating the content and methods of operation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all city levels in the direction of benefiting the country and the people, being flexible, effective, and adapting to the new situation; improving the quality of cadres associated with planning, training, and developing a source of competent cadres; building a team of proactive, courageous, knowledgeable, creative, and professional Front cadres to meet the requirements of the digital age; improving the quality of supervision and social criticism, protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the people, practicing democracy, strengthening social consensus, contributing to building a clean and strong Party and government.
Regarding the personnel presented to the Congress, the expected number of members of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City for the 18th term is 126 people with a combined structure of ethnic minorities accounting for 2.3%; religion accounting for 3.97%; women accounting for 31.75%; non-Party members accounting for 5.6%. The Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city for the 2025-2030 term consists of 9 people.
Speaking at the meeting, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha highly appreciated the preparation of the documents submitted to the Congress by the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city and noted: The documents submitted to the Congress need to absorb the direction of General Secretary To Lam at the first Congress of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central organizations, term 2025-2030; Resolution of the Hanoi Party Congress term 2025-2030; the content of the draft political report submitted to the National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the term 2026-2031; the plan to implement the speech of General Secretary To Lam that the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has just issued, thereby proposing pilot models of social dialogue and pilot models of community security; independently assessing the social trust index; announcing the results of community security; Replicate the social dialogue model… into the action programs of the Front in the new term.
Regarding the personnel presented to the Congress, Vice President - General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Thi Thu Ha suggested that the structure and composition of the Committee in the new term should include more outstanding individuals in science and technology development, innovation, digital transformation, etc., creating a solid foundation for the Front to participate in monitoring, social criticism, and giving advice to make the work of the Front increasingly widespread.
