From November 11 to 15, the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee is expected to organize the Journey "Towards the Roots of the Revolution" for the delegation of propaganda - mass mobilization, press - publishing cadres of Ho Chi Minh City in 2025.
The delegation was led by Comrade Tang Huu Phong, Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; with more than 100 members who are propaganda and mass mobilization officers, leaders, reporters, and editors of Ho Chi Minh City press and publishing agencies and a number of central press agencies residing in the city.
During the trip, the delegation will visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, visit the Vietnam Press Museum in Hanoi ; offer incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh at the Memorial House on De Pass (Thai Nguyen); visit the historical sites of Dinh Hoa Safe Zone (Thai Nguyen) and Tan Trao (Tuyen Quang) - "Capital of resistance" in the period 1947-1954.
The delegation also visited the "cradles" of journalism and revolutionary culture, including: the relic site where the Vietnam Journalists Association was born (Phu Dinh commune, Thai Nguyen); the place where the editorial office of the Cuu Quoc Newspaper was located and the Vietnamese photography and cinema industry was established; the birthplace of the People's Army Newspaper and where the first issue of Nhan Dan Newspaper was published; and the Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism School, where the first class of journalists were trained during the resistance war.
In Cao Bang, the delegation visited Pac Bo relic site, where President Ho Chi Minh returned to the country in 1941, visited the place where he founded the Vietnam Independence Newspaper and the famous landscapes of Ban Gioc waterfall and Nguom Ngao cave.
The delegation is expected to work with the Provincial Party Committee, the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission of Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee on Party building, propaganda, mass mobilization and the local socio-economic development situation; at the same time, organize social security activities, visit and give gifts to policy families, disadvantaged households, and poor but studious students in Thai Nguyen and Cao Bang.
The delegation will also visit and encourage officers and soldiers of Dam Thuy border station (Cao Bang), demonstrating the affection and responsibility of Ho Chi Minh City towards border localities.
The journey is a meaningful political and social activity, expressing the sentiments, responsibilities and gratitude of the propaganda, mass mobilization and press teams of Ho Chi Minh City towards the previous generation; at the same time contributing to fostering political awareness, professional ethics, improving the quality of propaganda work, and promoting patriotic emulation movements in the new period.
